A fictional historical drama called Six Flying Dragons was based on the lives of six individuals during the end of the Goreo dynasty in the late 1300s. Among the six dragons, Lee Bang Won, Jeong Do Jeon, and Lee Seong Gye were the individuals who existed at the time. The drama focuses on Lee Bang Won, crowned as the third king of Joseon after assisting his father, King Taejo, in founding the Joseon dynasty.

Hwarang is a 2016 romance-historical drama that shows the story of a group of elite young warriors named Hwarang, trained to protect the Kingdom. The show offers a historical idea rather than being based on a specific true story.
