South Korean law requires every physically competent man between the age of 18 to 28 to join the military. They have to perform their duties for their country and have to out of their mainstream career for a long time. Men who are designated under the Army and marine will adhere to their duty for 21 months, and those who are entrusted in the Navy will serve for 23 months, whereas those in the Air Force will serve for 24 months. Here is the list of the actors who went for military service.

1. Lee Min Ho

Lee joined his military service in 2017 and completed it in 2019. Due to his two road accidents, one in 2006, when he was with his friend Jung II Woo, and another one in 2011, when he was filming City Hunter, and because of the injuries, he got to level six at the pre-enlistment physical examination.

 

2. Lee Jong-Suk

It is confirmed in march 2019 by Lee Jong-Suk's agency, A Man Project, that the actor will serve as a service worker in the military. He started performing his faithful duties for his nation. He has seen in famous movies e.g. “I Can Hear Your Voice” and “Prosecutor Princess”.

 

3. Park Seo Joon

Park Seo Joon got into the service at the age of 19 and completed service before his debut. After getting discharged from his military duties, he made his debut, and now he is making his mark in the Korean entertainment industry. His famous projects to date are “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”, and “Itaewon Class”.

 

4. Jo In-Sung

Jo In-Sung was assigned two-year mandatory military service in, April 2009. He is like his father who served as a non-commissioned officer, wanted to join Air Force. He performed his duty in Air Force for 25 months. He got discharged on May 4, 2011.

 

5. Yoo Seung Ho

Yoo Seung Ho obtained military service in 2013 when he was 20 years old. In the military, he reportedly got a position of an instructor who gives training to recruits. He made his debut at the age of six. His role in “The Way Home” as a Sang Woo made him the heartthrob of Korea.

 

6. Jang Dong Yoon

Jang Dong Yoon called up by the mandatory military service just after finishing high school in, May 2012. After discharging from his duties in 2014, he started studying at Hanyang University. He came in existence for his heroic move, when he saved a convenience store clerk from a dangerous robber. For his brave action, he got notified by numerous agencies and got many offers.

 

7. Lee Kwang Soo

Lee Kwang Soo is one of them who got enlisted in the military after completing high school. He completed his duty for the nation in 2007 before making his debut. He initially started his career as a model then switched to an actor. His first drama was “Here He Comes”.

 

8. Hyun Bin

Hyun Bin started his mandatory military service in the marine corps as a soldier in 2011, for 21 months. He got discharged in 2012. Marine service was believed to be the toughest one of the Korean militaries, so he volunteered to serve in the marine corps. He was awarded the Secretary of Defense Award for being a devoted soldier.

 

9. Jung Hae In

Jung Hae In was assigned to military service when he was only 20 years old. He determined to be an actor when he was in the army. He decided to make his career in acting the moment he was discharged from his duties. He became a rising star from his leading role in “Something In The Rain”.

 

10. Yoon Park

Yoon Park wanted to accomplish his military service in his early 20’s. He made his decision very early. After getting discharged from the service he got so many projects lined up and offered for many K dramas.
