1. Lee Min Ho

The Boys Over Flowers actor, Lee Min Ho, dreamt of becoming a soccer player. He had to give up this dream for some reason and signed up for an entertainment agency. He is considered one of the most successful actors in the Korean film industry.

2. Song Joong Ki

Song Joong Ki was a short-track speed skater during school years and was passionate about it. He represented his city at the national-level skating competition. But he had to put aside this dream due to an injury and joined the film industry to win the hearts of Korean film lovers. 

3. So Ji Sub

Before joining the Korean film industry, So Ji Sub was a professional swimmer who had trained himself for 11 years.  He even won a bronze medal at Korean National Games. So Ji Sub left his passion for swimming and tried modeling to earn extra money. He got a chance to join the film industry because of his charming looks, and this is how he became a famous Korean star.

4. Won Bin

The Autumn In My heart star, Won Bin, had a massive craze for motorbikes and cars. He always aspired to become a car mechanic and even studied mechanical subjects in high school to pursue his dreams. After high school, he decided to apply for a television agency and soon got the chance to join an entertainment agency.

5. Nam Joo Hyuk

The Weightlifting Fairy actor, Nam Joo Hyuk, was passionate about playing basketball and wanted to become a professional basketball player. But he had to quit this dream after undergoing three serious spine surgeries. He has become a heartthrob and one of the most famous actors in the Hallyu Industry.

6. Jung Hae In

An agency escorted Jung Hae In in front of an ice cream shop while he was a biotechnology student at the university. He had no intention of joining the acting industry before that incident. Jung Hae In got famous due to his fantastic acting skills and model-like features. 

7. Sung Hoon

Sung Hoon was almost going to become a professional swimmer before he underwent a spine injury. He had joined the national swimming team too. He had to quit his dream due to an unfortunate injury and then got enlisted in the military. After his service ended in the military, Sung Hoon decided to pursue his career in acting. 

8. Kang Don Won

Kang Don Won had a plan to become a soccer player. Due to his family’s financial situation, he had to quit his dream and instead started pursuing education seriously. He was escorted to become a model while pursuing education at the university. After that, he got into the acting industry and proved himself.

9. Shin Sung Ruk         

Shin Sung Ruk wanted to become a basketball player like his elder brother. But Sung Ruk had to set this dream aside because of an injury he suffered in high school. He studied art and theatre at university and entered the acting industry. 

10. Lee Jong Suk

Lee Jong Suk wanted to become a K-pop idol before he joined the Korean Film Industry. He even joined a K-pop entertainment agency and trained for three months before running away due to the immense pressure.
