Creating YouTube channels isn’t a new thing for celebrities. Most do it in order to help fans connect with them, and for them to keep in touch with their fans. Here is a list of 10 K-pop stars who have their own YouTube channels.

 

1. Girl’s Day’s Hyeri

Lee Hyeri is an actress, television personality, and singer. She became widely known as the youngest member of the girl group Girl’s Day. She was crowned as the ‘Nation’s Little Sister’ due to her popularity after being cast as a regular member on ‘Real Men’. Hyeri became even more well-known following her role in the drama ‘Reply 1988’. Due to her already existing popularity, it didn’t take Hyeri much time to flourish on YouTube. She started off her channel with her own reality show that allowed her fans and viewers to see the real Hyeri, out of the spotlight.

 

2. Wonho

Lee Hoseok, better known as Wonho (stage name), is a singer and producer currently signed under Highline Entertainment, since April 10, 2020. He was previously signed under Starship Entertainment and was a part of the idol group Monsta X. Wonho’s entry onto the video-sharing platform was nothing less than a treat for his fans. The channel gives a complete insight to almost everything the idol does, from workout sessions to hosting his own radio show. Wonho also shares recipes and conducts mukkbang ASMR sessions to showcase his love for food.

 

3. BIGBANG’s Daesung

Kang Daesung, more commonly known as Daesung and D-Lite, his Japanese stage name, is an actor, singer, and television personality. Daesung began his career in 2006 when he debuted as a member of BIGBANG under YG Entertainment. He made his solo debut in 2008 with ‘Look At Me, Gwisoon’, and his first solo Japanese album, ‘D’scover’ in 2013. Daesung is among the few idols who barely have any social media presence, so the launch of his YouTube channel must have been a great deal for his fans. Daesung has quite an interesting page where he posts drum covers of K-pop and western songs.

 

4. CLC’s Seunghee

Oh Seunghee is a singer signed under Cube Entertainment. On March 9, 2015, Seunghee debuted as a member of the girl group CLC. She originally served as their leader, but on March 6, 2016, the role was passed onto Seungyeon. Seunghee’s YouTube page is quite versatile and includes Vlogs, covers, and Q&A sessions. Seunghee also hosts her own version of ‘Saturday Night Live’, where she holds interactive live shows with her subscribers. Her channel is a real treat for her international fans since all her videos are provided with subtitles.

 

5. BlackPink’s Rosé

Roseanne Park, otherwise known as Rosé, is a member of the girl group BlackPink. She is the lead dancer and the main vocalist of the group. Rosé made her debut in 2016 under YG Entertainment. Prior to her debut with BlackPink, she featured in G-Dragon’s song ‘Without You’. In 2018 Rosé’s solo debut was announced by her agency. Rosé had planned to launch her YouTube channel after her solo debut, making her page relatively new. The first video she uploaded was a basic introduction to who she is, what her childhood was like, her solo debut, and what her dreams are.

 

6. Girls Generation’s YoonA

Im Yoona, popularly known as YoonA, is an actress and singer, best known as a member of the idol girl group Girls Generation. She debuted with Girls Generation in 2007 after being a trainee for 5 years. YoonA made her acting debut with the television drama ‘Two Outs In The Ninth Inning’ in the year 2007. YoonA’s YouTube channel is just as lively as she is. The star shows her fans beautiful moments of her days and her career, through many behind-the-scenes. Her staff has also come up with some very intriguing and entertaining topics during her breaks.

 

7. EXO’s Baekhyun

Byun Baekhyun is an actor and singer most famously known as a member of the boy group EXO. Baekhyun is one of the three main vocalists of the group. Baekhyun made his acting debut in 2016 with a supporting role in the television drama ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’. In the same year, Baekhyun debuted again with EXO’s first sub-unit EXO-CBX along with members Chen and Xiumin. He debuted as a soloist with the EP ‘City Lights’, in July 2019. Although Baekhyun is currently fulfilling his military duties, his YouTube page has been kept alive through pre-recorded videos. Baekhyun mostly uploads Vlog contents.

 

8. MAMAMOO’s Solar

Kim Yongsun, stage name Solar, is the leader and vocalist of the girl group MAMAMOO. She made her solo debut on April 23, 2020, with the release of the single ‘Spit It Out’. Solar was the last out of the four members to debut as a soloist. Her YouTube channel includes a wide range of content from mukkbangs, travel content, makeup videos to challenges and behind the scenes of her idol life.

 

9. Day6’s Jae

Park Jaehyung, better known as Jae, is a member of the Korean idol band Day6, under JYP Entertainment. Day6 debuted on September 7, 2015. He is the vocalist of the group and the lead guitarist. He goes by the name ‘eaJ’ for all his solo projects, and his YouTube channel is also under the same name. Jae previously uploaded vlogs and occasionally featured other popular K-pop idols such as 2PM’s Nichkhun, The Boyz’s Kevin, and CLC’s Sorn. Currently, the idol only shares videos relating to his solo music career.

 

10. Apink’s Bomi

Yoon Bomi, is the center lead dancer, main rapper, and main dancer of the girl group Apink. Apink had debuted on April 19, 2011 and consisted of 6 members. Bomi is highly active on her YouTube channel and posts at least once a week with content ranging from travel videos all the way to challenge videos. Bomi’s page provides English subtitles for her international viewers, making her page more engaging.
