Drama Digest

Ten people will have the chance to travel back in time by one year. Ji Hyung Joo has been a detective for seven years and has been offered this oppurtunity. He enjoys his new existence, but discovers that others who have travelled back in time like him are involved in unexplained incidents. Shin Ga Hyun is a perfectionist and industrious webtoon writer. She got involved in an  accident one day and was in critical condition. That is when she gets the offer ot back in time. She also faces unexpected mysteries there.

The Feel-Good Part

The main characters are introduced fast, and the time travel reset occurs inside the first 30 minutes. The tempo is quick, yet the tale is detailed. The tension and mystery keep the audience on the edge of their seats due to the unpredictable nature of the story. Ga Hyun plays a crucial part in discovering the killer, while Hyung Joo is easy to sympathise with. Every scene served a purpose. Even the supporting characters have their own stories to tell, and they are significant.

The Disappointing Factor

Due to the numerous storyline twists, it became impossible to concentrate on the finale, and the discovery was no longer as surprising. The science fiction aspects lacked adequate explanations. After all of the drama and build-up in trying to apprehend him and his reveal, the villain’s rationale for doing what he did didn’t seem good enough. They also seemed to force the romance aspect. What happened to the other characters at the end was left unanswered.

In-Depth Analysis

This is a difficult tale to handle, but this drama accomplished it admirably. With each episode, it grows better and better, making you eager to see what happens next. It worked nicely as a mystery and time travel drama. The author clearly put forth a lot of effort in writing this. It would have been messy even if the writer had wanted to go further towards the end. It’s also incredibly wonderful to see how the female lead isn’t portrayed as foolish, but rather as someone who is actively attempting to uncover the killer through her excellent perception. Even if a couple portions at the end were predictable, the audience was still engaged.

Star Power

Lee Joon Hyuk (Ji Hyung Joo), Nam Ji Hyun (Shin Ga Hyun) and Kim Jee Soo (Lee Shin) did a great job of bring out the suspense and thriller in the show.

Overall Opinion

If you’re searching for a good mystery thriller that keeps you wondering, this is a must-see. If you’re watching, stay away from spoilers at all costs!
