Along with a variety of other skills like singing, dancing, and modeling, Kpop stars keep surprising us with their proficiency in a range of martial arts, including Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kungfu, Wushu, and more. And not only are they capable of doing it, but they also perform it so well that they could take it up professionally.

1. Jungkook – BTS

Jeon Jung-Kook, better known by his stage name Jungkook, is a South Korean singer. He is a member of the boy band BTS. He made his debut with the band on June 12, 2013. He is the youngest member of the band and thus is treated like a pampered child. But he is probably one of the most powerful members of the group since he holds a black belt in Taekwondo. Apart from this, he does boxing and weightlifting.

2. Jeon Somi

Ennik Somi Douma, better known by her stage name Jeon Somi, which is also her Korean name, is a Canadian and South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer under The Black Label. She was a member of the girl group I.O.I. She is a level four-degree black belt in Taekwondo. And despite her busy schedule with her idol activities, she still practices her skills and keeps up to date.

3. Jin – BTS

Kim Seok-Jin, better known as Jin, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He is a part of the BTS boy band. With BTS, Jin co-wrote three solo songs, "Awake" in 2016, "Epiphany" in 2018, and "Moon" in 2020. Not just Jungkook but Jin is also skilled in taekwondo. He holds a black belt and keeps practicing his skills despite his packed schedule.

4. Felix – Stray Kids

Felix Lee is a rapper and dancer. He is a member of the boy band Stray Kids as the lead rapper and lead dancer. He debuted as a member of the band on March 25, 2018, with “I am Not” under JYP Entertainment. He has a third-degree belt in Taekwondo. He has been learning it since he was a four-year-old kid, and thus, by the age of ten, he had a red belt, which is around second degree.

5. Kim Yo Han

Kim Yo Han, known by his stage name Yohan, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the boy band X1. He made his solo debut with the digital single “No More” on 25th August 2020. He made his acting debut in “A Love So Beautiful.” He is not just a talented artist but is also skilled in Taekwondo since his father was a professional Taekwondo coach. He even went as far as becoming backup for the national team, but his dream of going forward in this field was shattered after he sustained an injury.

6. Baekho – NU’EST

Kang Dong-Ho, known professionally as Baekho, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He was a member of the boy band NU’EST as the lead vocalist. He made his debut with the band in 2012. He debuted as a solo artist in 2022 with his first Extended Play (EP) Absolute Zero, under Pledis Entertainment. He is trained in Kumdo, which is a modern Korean martial art derived from Japanese Kendo. He practiced this art for ten years and even showed his skills in the debut teaser of NU’EST.

7. Chansung – 2 PM

Hwang Chan Sung is a South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor better known by his stage name Chansung. He is a member of the boy band 2 PM. He is also trained in KUMDO and developed this interest when he was in school.

8. Baekhyun – Exo

Byun Baek-Hyun, better known as Baekhyun, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He is a member of the boy band EXO and its sub-unit EXO-K. In 2019, he become a member of the boy band SuperM as a leader. He has multiple noble plaques in Hapkido. He started learning this art in primary school and won numerous medals.

9. Chorong – Apink

Park Cho-Rong, popularly known as Chorong, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress. She is a member of the girl group Apink as the leader. Apart from her other talents she is a third degree in Hapkido. Her father is a master of a Hapkido training center. Her father taught her the art for eight years.

10. The 8 – Seventeen

Xu Minghao, better known by his stage name The8, is a Chinese singer and dancer working primarily in the South Korean entertainment industry. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Seventeen. He is trained in Kung Fu and has proudly showcased his skills many times on camera.
