K- pop refers to Korean Pop, which is the music culture of South Korea. But as of now K- pop music and the popularity of K- pop artists have spread all over the world. K- pop is now ready to dominate the globe with its phenomenal music. K- pop artists perform overseas in their concerts. The “Hallyu” (Korean culture wave) has brought so many new things to the world, whether it Mukband videos or Korean glass skincare routine. The emergence of K-pop can be traced back to the 90’s when a K-pop group, Seo Taiji, and boys came. This group consisted of three members, Seo Taiji, Lee Juno and Hyun-Suk. From that, K-pop came into existence.

1. J Hope

Jung Hoseok is also known by his stage name J-Hope. He is the rapper and leading dancer of the group, BTS. J-Hope debuted as a third member in the BTS K-pop group with their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. Now, he is in the skies of achievement. Before joining BTS, he was member of the underground street dance team Neuron. He released his first solo in 2018, which is “Day Dream”. He also launched a song named “Chicken Noodle Soup”.


2. Min Yoon Gi

Min Yoon Gi, majorly known as Suga and Agust D. He is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He also made his debut with the worldwide famous K-pop group, BTS. He released his Mixtape, Agust D. His “Daechwita” song is considered his best to date. Before joining BTS, he was a rapper under the name Gloss. He debuted in a BTS group with “No More Dream” from their debut single 2 Cool 4 Skool.


3. IU

Lee Ji Eun carries a stage name called IU. IU is an amalgamation of the words “I” and “You”, which means both the musician and the listeners are united by her music. IU is recognized as the most influential K-pop celebrity alive today. IU recognized by Billboard as the all-time leader of its Korea K-pop Hot 100. There is a bundle of her hit songs, which is “Give You My Heart”,

“Love Poem” and “Through the Night”.


4. Jennie

Jennie is a South Korean, rapper, singer, and one of the members of the most renowned K-pop group “Blackpink”. She debuted in YG entertainment in 2016. Jennie became the first Korean solo artist to perform in Coachella in 2019. Jennie has given so many hits in her career, including “How You Like That”, “Let’s Kill This Love”, and her solo music MV “Solo”.


 5. Jungkook

Jeon Jungkook has put Jungkook as his stage name, is a South Korean main vocalist and songwriter. He is also the youngest member of the K-pop group BTS. He has always been appreciated and quoted that “There is nothing that Jungkook can’t do”. He also debuted in K-pop group BTS with the album “2 Cool 4 School”. His record-breaking solo songs are “Euphoria” and “My Time” are the first and second longest solo. MV's among pop singers on Billboard's world digital songs chart.


6. Chungha

Kim Chan Mi is also known as Chungha. She is known for being the Sub Vocalist and leading dancer of the group I.O.I, which constituted temporarily after performing on the TV show Produce 101. Her two songs, “Whatta Man” and “Very Very Very” got two entries in World Digital Song Sales. Her latest single, “Gotta Go”, has broken all the records and remains in the top ten on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart.


7. Cha Eun-Woo

Lee Dong Min also known as Cha Eun-Woo, is a South Korean actor, singer and model in Fantagio Label. He is a member of the K-pop group ASTRO. He made his debut in the film My Brilliant Life with a cameo role and gave some hit chartbusters, “Love So Fine”, “Rainbow Falling”, and “Together”.


8. Kai

Kim Jong-in is a part of the South Korean-Chinese boy band “EXO”. He has the stage name, Kai. Kai became a member of SuperM in 2019. Kai's debut single “Mmmh”, was released on November 30. Other than that, Kai is also featured in many hit songs, e.g. “Love Shots”, “Don’t Fight The Feeling”, “Monster” and “Obsession”.


9. Park Chanyeol

Park Chanyeol also put Chanyeol as his stage name. Chanyeol is a South Korean singer, rapper, actor, model, songwriter, and producer. He is a member of the South Korean- Chinese band ‘Exo’, and he is also in its sub-group Exo-K and Subunit Exo-Sc. 10. Kim Tae-Hyung

Kim Taehyung better known as his stage name V. He is a member of South Korean K-pop group BTS a singer, actor, and song-writer. He holds the position of vocalist in the group.
