We have always wondered where our favorite k-pop idols are from. K-pop is growing outside of Korea and spreading everywhere. We can’t be happier! Today we brought you the list of the top 10 Japanese K-pop idols! These range from different groups like ‘TWICE,’ ‘NCT.,’ ‘TREASURE,’ and more. We included Idols who were either born or raised in Japan.
1. Sana Minatozaki
Sana Minatozaki was born on 29 December 1996 in Tennōji-ku, Osaka, Japan. Girls Generation highly inspired our ‘TWICE’ artist. She knows basic English and Korean as well. She initially wanted to be a singer in Japan instead of South Korea.
2. Takata Mashiho
Mashisho is a member of TREASURE, a Seoul-based boyband. He started learning dance at the age of 5 and learned all types of dances. Their group made its debut on August 7, 2020. He is an Aries. He is working under YG Entertainment. His nicknames include Kijoring, Hamtori, Mashi, and Shiho. He appeared as a barista in a short film of AKMU.
3. Momo
Momo is a member of ‘TWICE.’ She was born in Kyoto, Japan. She is a singer, rapper, and dancer living in South Korea. Momo was voted the 20th most popular idol in South Korea in Gallup Korea’s annual music poll for 2018.
4. Yuta
Yuta is a member of the group ‘NCT.’ He is the vocalist, rapper, and dancer of the group. He was born in Kadoma, Kansai District, Osaka, Japan. He initially wanted to be a professional footballer, but then became an idol adored by everyone!
5. Mi-Na
Mi Na is the third Japanese member of TWICE. She is an American-born Japanese, born in Texas, and grew up in Kobe, Japan. Her mother is Sachiko Terao and her father, Akira Myoi, is an orthopedic surgeon at Osaka University Hospital in Suita.
6. Taewoong
Taewoong is the leader of SNUPER as well as a rapper and vocalist. He has also starred in many dramas like Dear My Room, Let’s only walk the flower road, What’s up fox, Princess Lulu, Fantastic Tower, Tamra, the Island, Land, Forgiveness, etc., and then starting his career as a singer.
7. Haru
Haru is a member of NATURE. She was born on February 21, 2000, in Miyagi, Japan. Her birth name is Abe Haruno. She has also won 3 domestic competitions in dancesport. She learned dance sport for ten years and slowly became a national representative. She is working under n.CH Entertainment.
8. Giselle
Giselle is the main rapper of the group ‘Aespa.’ She is half Korean and is fluent in Japanese, Korean, and English. Her birth name is Uchinaga Eri. She is a big fan of BLACKPINK and GOT7. In Aespa, her representative animal is Unicorn, and her symbol is the moon.
9. Yuto
Yuto is a member of PENTAGON. He was born on January 23, 1998. He is the lead rapper and sub-vocalist. He speaks Korean and Japanese. He is often known as ‘Takoyaki Prince’ by the rest of the members of PENTAGON. He is under Cube Entertainment.
10. Kokoro
Kokoro is a member of Cherry Bullet. She was born on November 1, 2000, in Nagoya, Japan. She left the group in December 2019. Her zodiac sign is Scorpio. She was also in a dance crew called Nagoya Nine Pre-debut. Our beautiful idol is one of the gorgeous Japanese idols!
