In the K-Pop industry, it is rather occasional to see idols without ear piercings. Some k-idols have only one of their ears pierced, while some have more than two piercings on their ears. Some have their noses, lips, and even eyebrows perforated. While it is not a rule for the idols to get their ears pierced, some k-idols walk around the buildings without getting them shot. They still tend to wear ear cuffs or stick on to their ears to make them look pretty. Here is the list of the top ten idols in the K-Industry who haven't got their ears pierced.
1. Minho
Choi Minho is a singer, songwriter, rapper, vocalist, and actor of Shinee, a four-membered boy band under SM Entertainment. He made his debut as an idol in 2008. He has won many awards, like the "New Star Award" for his excellent acting skills. Minho and his fellow member Onew are the idols from the 2nd generation K-pop not having their ears pierced.
2. J-Hope
J-Hope is a talented songwriter, rapper, and music producer from BTS. He debuted as an idol with BTS in 2013. In 2018, he released his first solo song, "Chicken Noddle Soup," featuring Becky G. In 2022, J-Hope released his first full album, Jack in the Box. J-Hope is the only BTS member who does not have his ears pierced.
3. BamBam
BamBam is the only Thai member of the K-Pop group GOT7, which was previously under JYP Entertainment. He is one of the two youngest members of his group. BamBam released his first solo album, "Ribbon," in 2021 when the group was on hiatus. He is very close with BlackPink's Lisa and Stray Kids' Bang Chan. BamBam has no ear piercing.
4. Kai
Kim Jongin is well-known by his stage name Kai made his debut in 2012 in EXO under SM Entertainment. He is called the dancing machine and serves as an idol to many other young artists in the industry. Kai does not have his ears pierced. The entire group of EXO, instead of the members Xiumin and Chen, do not have their ears pierced.
5. Seungmin
The leading vocalist and one of the younger members of Stray Kids, Seungmin, is the only member not to have his ears pierced. Other members have one to three piercings, while Felix has the most. When asked Seungmin about getting his ears pierced, he said he refused to get one and would continue to wear ear cuffs if needed.
6. Hyuk
Hyuk, a 27-year-old actor, and singer of VIXX is a boy band under Jellyfish Entertainment. Hyuk is the youngest member of the group. Hyuk made his solo debut in 2019 with his album "Winter Butterfly." Hyuk, in 2022, made his announcement to leave the agency but confirmed that he would participate in the group's activities. He doesn't have his ears pierced.
7. L
Kim Myungsoo, well known by his stage name L, is a member of the boy band INFINITE. He officially left the agency but is still a part of the group. L is an actor and a singer. He has acted in several movies and dramas, which have won him several awards like Best New Actor, Best Couple Award, etc. L is a member without ear piercing.
8. Kyuhyun
Kyuhyun is a part of SUPER JUNIOR and its sub-units SUPER JUNOR K.R.Y and SUPER JUNIOR-M and made his debut in 2006. He is a vocalist, musical theatre artist, and television personality who appeared in several web series, dramas, and movies. He and his fellow member Siwon don't have their ears pierced.
9. Dowoon
Dowoon is a singer, a songwriter, a drummer, and the youngest member of the boyband Day6 under JYP Entertainment. Dowoon is also a part of the group's sub-unit Day6 (Even of Day). Late in 2021, he made his solo debut. He has enlisted to serve in the military due to the group's temporary hiatus. Dowoon does not have his ears pierced.
10. Youngmin
Youngmin is a singer-actor and a member of the boyband BF, formerly known as Boyfriend under Starship Entertainment. Youngmin made his debut in 2011. He has a twin brother named Kwangmin, who is a member of the same group. Youngmin has a Youtube Channel called Boyland. He is an idol who doesn't have his ears pierced.
