K-dramas are infamous for their love triangles. Though the sweet second leads are one of them main reasons for the popularity of Korean shows there are many fans who do not like this common trope. So if you are looking for a show with three protagonists but no love triangle, here is a list.
1. Island
Van, Won Mi Ho and Johan are three people who have to fight demons to protect the world. While Van is half-demon himself, Johan is a priest and Won Mi Ho is the saviour who has been reborn. Van and Mi Ho have an emotional and romantic connection between them, and Johan is shown more like a younger sibling to Mi Ho.
2. Dr Romantic
The first season of ‘Dr. Romantic’ has Kang Dong Joo, Yoon Seo Jung, and Do In Bum as its leads. Dong Joo has loved Seo Jung ever since he first met her. Though many share the opinion that Do In Bum has a crush on Seo Jung, this is not entirely true. He is more curious about her relationship with his father.
3. The Guest
This drama has no love story between any of the leads and hence no love triangle too. Yoon Hwa Pyung, a shaman and Choi Yoon, a priest and an exorcist have to help people possessed by spirits. They are joined by Kang Gil Young, a detective who does not believe in the existence of spirits.
4. The King: Eternal Monarch
Lee Gon, the Ruler of the Kingdom of Corea, and Jeong Tae Eul, a detective in the Republic of Korea accidentally meet and are ready to cross worlds for each other. Though Koo Seo Ryeong, the Prime Minister of Lee Gon’s Kingdom wants to marry him, it is not because of love. She just wants to be his wife for political reasons.
5. Little Women
Oh In Joo, Oh In Kyung, and Oh In Hye are three sisters who are close to each other despite their hardships. The three protagonists have almost separate lives though they are sisters who live together. The sisters don’t even have individual love lines, except In Kyung who is loved by her childhood friend.
6. Good Manager
Kim Sung Ryong and Yoon Ha Kyung work together at the accounting department of ‘TQ Group.’ Seo Yul is the Director of Finance of the same group. Though there is no romance in the show, Sung Ryong casually teases Ha Kyung about being in a relationship and Seo Yul is shown to have a small interest on her.
7. Search WWW
Bae Ta Mi, Scarlett Cha, and Song Ga Kyeong are women who lead the world of web portals. They are professional rivals who do not hate each other outside work. The three of them have their individual partners and are not really involved in each other’s personal lives.
8. Healer
Seo Jung Hoo works as a ‘night corier,’ a person who does illegal jobs for those who pay him well. Chae Young Shin is a news reporter of a small agency and aspires to become like her role model Kim Mun Ho, a reporter known for speaking facts. Kim Mun Ho is Young Shin’s celebrity crush but her true love is Jung Hoo.
9. Blind
Ryu sung Joon, a detective and Ryu Sung Hoon, a judge are brothers with different personalities. They try to track a killer using their own ways and even suspecting each other. Jo Eun Ki, a social worker helps them with the investigation. This show is way too complicated and thrilling to include a love story.
10. Awaken
Do Jung Woo is the leads a police agency task force team and Gong Hye Won is an inspector in the same team. An FBI officer, Jamie Leighton joins their team. The three do not get along well but work together to solve a cold case. The show was expected to have a love triangle but it ended with no romance between any of the leads.
