Not every K-drama and the actors acting in them get praises. Many a times, the drama perform very poorly, and the actors in these dramas are treated very harshly and ridiculed in public for their performances. South Korean entertainment industry is one of the few industries where newcomers are also given equal opportunities to bag the important roles. Still, the problem with such casting is that if they are unhappy with the performances of the same, they publicly replace the said actors, and are ridiculed in public, therefore here are some actors that are often criticized for their acting and bad performances.
1. Park Hye Eun
Seen in the K-Drama School Nurse Files for the first time, she bagged a project opposite Lee Jae Wook in a drama named Return. Recently the actress has been dropped from the drama, and the reason stated for that is her lousy acting skills. Many netizens found this bizarre to call out an actress and even protested enough to boycott the drama.
2. Nam Joo Hyuk
Although he has had many hits to his name, there is always a group of fans against his acting. Recently after the end of Start-Up, he faced a lot of opposition as the male lead. Back when Bride of Water God (Habaek) was released, netizens called him out for stiff acting while many fans stood up for him.
3. D.O.
As an idol who debuted as an actor, he has always been appreciated given that he is not a professional, not giving him any room for growth. Therefore, he hasn’t been able to show his acting skills at large. He consistently exceeds expectations for an idol, and this thought process is stops him from reaching his potential.
4. Kim Tae Hee
Kim Tae Hee has always been surrounded by controversies regarding her acting skills. Ten years down the line, the criticism doesn’t see any end.Many people feel like she doesn’t have that factor or the aura of an actor. She has received a lot of criticism, and netizens believe that she is in denial for her bad acting.
5. Shin Min Ah
She was recently seen in the drama Hometown Cha Cha. She was seen in dramas like My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, but many netizens complain about her cold reactions and expressions. Previously, she has been called out for unengaging terms and chemistry with the actors and dry acting style.
6. Hwang Jung-Eum
The actress was seen in dramas like She Was Pretty, Kill Me, Heal me and Secret. The actress has been called out in public ever since her botox, where she can’t even lift her eyebrows, let alone with able to act, and she is known to have a pretty annoying voice. We have been quite agitated at her scenes.
7. Joy (Tempted)
Given the strong star cast who have performed well in the drama, Joy’s character and acting was the only thing that felt out of place. The show was stolen by the acting of Moon Ga Young, who played the role of a distressed girl making all the wrong decisions to finally having good character development.
8. Suzy (Dream High)
Many people have called out the singer turned actor for her bad acting skills, mainly as a newcomer. She has been increasing her efficiency on screen, especially since her role in Vagabond but was not very well appreciated for her role in Start-Up etc.
9. Park Shin Hye (The Heirs)
Many people agree on the fact that Park Shin Hye might not have appropriate choices for dramas because she looks awkward when performing in romantic dramas. She was not well appreciated in dramas like The Heirs, Sisyphus- The Myth, and old drama Flower Boy Next Door.
10. Go Ara
As seen in dramas like Miss Hammurabi, many of the viewers found her acting annoying, and she is constantly brought up when talking about inefficient acting skills even in successful dramas like Reply 1994 and the very famous Hwarang, which became famous for the brotherhood goals it served.
