Drama Digest

This is a story based on the criminality and thrill of two brothers, Mai and Mhen, who fall in love with the same girl named Pond. In such a situation, one of them must sacrifice their love to let the other have it.

Now, does this lead to differences among them?

Or do they put brotherhood first?

The Feel-Good Part

It’s an entertaining, funny, happy, dark and sad story, so it’s a blend of everything. The relationship and sacrifices of the brotherhood portrayed, warms our hearts and, at the same time, keeps us on our toes.

The Disappointing Factor

It’s not a very unique storyline, and to mix a school love triangle with a criminal and theft concept does not seem like a very good idea.

In-Depth Analysis

The series shows a family of three; two boys, Mhen and Mai, and their father, Sorn, who’s a motor repairman and is often sick but doesn’t show it. The older brother, Mai, who’s a nice and sweet guy who’s sacrificial, while the younger brother, Mhen, who’s also a caring guy, is a bit aggressive and in denial of a lot of things and wants to be popular among girls.

Their financial condition is on the verge of a crisis, and hence, Mai quits school and finds work as a mechanic to fix cars just like his father, while Mhen stays in school and chases around girls. Soon, their uncle named Bo, who also works as a mechanic, teaches Mai how to break into cars. There comes a time when Mai and Mhen both fall for the same girl named Pond, who’s a student from Mhen’s school, and soon Pond falls for Mai too. But their sick and pleading father asks Mai to give his little brother whatever he wants to keep him happy, so Mai decides to sacrifice and joins an illegal car theft gang owned by Toh, who is also a serial killer. As Mai is never around, Pond becomes frustrated and upset and decides to couple up with Mhen.

Later, after the death of their father, both Mai and Mhen settle things down maturely, and Pond decides to live happily ever after with Mai.

Star Power

The series stars Singto Prachaya, who’s one of the leading and best actors coming from Thailand, and hence gives the series an upper edge.

Overall Opinion

It’s not the most interesting and beautiful story you’ll ever watch, but it’s something in between, so if you’re looking for a series to pass your time with, which is not too soft and too hard and dark, you can always try the romantic blue.
