Drama Review: Plerng Kinnaree

Rating

★★★

Drama Digest:

Singkarn carefully rears his daughter Sitalai by himself till she matures into a stunning woman. Growing up, Sitalai believed that her mother had passed away when she was still a baby. This is untrue, though, as Kinnaree (Kob), her mother, is still alive. Kinnaree used to like partying, flirting, and having a good time. Even when she married Singkarn, this continued, resulting in their divorce. Kinnaree afterwards met and fell in love with a charming man who deceived her. Her craziness was caused by the grief.

After some time, Kinnarree, who was residing in a mental institution due to her mental condition, is eventually allowed to go. She next secures employment at a flower shop. She first met Sitalai here, to whom she would want to remain anonymous. Watch it to get deeper into the details.

The Feel-Good Part:

Engaging and pleasant enough to watch and not that bad that you can’t tolerate.

The Disappointing Factor:

Sometimes, things started to become complicated, which made the content difficult to watch.

In-Depth Analysis:

Life may be a pretty odd game at times. An older, attractive man named Ninnart (Kade) starts making advances at Sitalai and finally wins her over. He is indeed the same guy that messed with Kinnaree and made her unstable psychologically. And with that, a tangled story about love, retaliation, and heartbreaks starts. Louis Siam Sungvaributr is the director and Screenwriting is performed by Cherry Pitchanan Poonyarom.

Star Power:

Kob Suvanant Kongying as female lead and Bank Artit Tangwiboonpanit as male lead can be seen in the drama. Everyone gave excellent performances in their assigned parts, which at least made the terrible story amusing.

Overall Opinion:

Overall, It was alright to go with Plerng Kinnaree. It was monotonous and lacking enthusiasm. Although it had many unremarkable qualities, it produced its story skillfully and efficiently. I would categorize the actor transition as more of a minor issue, despite the fact that it was felt and was ineffective. Not terrible, but also unmemorable.
