Lee’s Kitchen Alone, as the title suggests, the leading man/host of this South Korean reality TV show is Lee Soo Geun. Lee handles and runs the restaurant alone. This TV show is a spin-off of ‘Kang’s Kitchen’ which was itself a spin-off of ‘New Journey to The West’ which had two seasons and the cast handled and operated a restaurant.
Feel-good Part
Lee’s Kitchen Alone has a lot of moments that will make you feel good. Starting with Lee Soo Geun, who is the leading man of this reality TV show, Lee Soo Geun is known to have great comic timing and is considered among the top comedian in the South Korean entertainment industry. He didn’t disappoint in this TV show and showed his impressive comic timing and humor which is an attracting point of Lee’s Kitchen Alone. Secondly, the food prepared in this reality TV show is a treat for the eyes.
The Disappointing Factor
In the initial episodes, Lee Soo Geun seemed exhausted doing all the chores by himself, including preparing the food, cooking, etc. Due to the duties, he couldn’t entirely interact with the guest and customers, while the audience would want to see more of Lee Soo Geun entertaining rather than being busy doing chores. However, these were rectified in the later episodes.

Lee’s Kitchen Alone Lee Soo Geun himself prepares and cooks the food, which is then served to the guests and customers, which keeps changing on every episode. Lee’s Kitchen Alone is a spin-off of ‘Kang’s Kitchen, which is itself inspired by ‘New Journey to The West.’ Lee Soo Geun served as a dishwasher and a general helper in the Kitchen in the Variety TV show Kang’s Kitchen, though that TV show had a handful cast, while Lee’s Kitchen Alone has Lee Soo Geun as the sole main cast.

As already mentioned, Lee Soo Geun is the leading man and host of Lee’s Alone Kitchen while Na Young Seok is a regular member who is also the director of the TV Show. The TV show also has a lot of celebrity guests appearing in the episodes namely Lee Jin Ho, Moon Se Yun, Yang Bae Cha and Baek Jong Won.
Overall Opinion
The concept of Lee’s Kitchen Alone is a little different while being similar to its parent TV show which will make audience feel familiar with Lee’s Kitchen Alone. This TV show is a good watch if you like to see the mukbang genre. The preparation, cooking, and presentation of the dishes have been shown excellently by the director. The leading man or host, Lee Soo Geun, a senior comedian in the South Korean entertainment industry solely, carried the episodes on his shoulder perfectly and lived up to his reputation of being a great comedian with quick humor. Overall, the TV show has 11 episodes airing for 30 minutes. It is a good watch if you like to watch light-hearted reality food shows.
