Drama Review: Reckless

Rating

★★★

Drama Digest:

Huo Ran was chosen as the school team’s captain in his first year despite being known across the school for his explosive anger. Kou Chen was a transfer student who enjoyed boasting. He was the subject of several rumors, including that he came from a respectable family. that he had hit a teacher, which was why he had moved from a distance. said his combat skills were superb. These two have been placed in the same class despite their past conflict during a basketball game, which left them with a bad opinion of one another. Would there be a spark? Most likely, although possibly not in the manner you’d anticipate.

The Feel-Good Part:

The amount of drama was just right—not too much nor too little. The camaraderie between the boys is also lovely—they are all just regular, equal friends who support one another when necessary. No one is superior to another.

The Disappointing Factor:

Some story holes include what exactly occurred to the main character when he lost his brother as a youngster and characters that were introduced but were dropped without any kind of justification. They just disappeared!

In-Depth Analysis:

It is directed by  Lu Ying  and screenwriters are A Liao Sha, Zhou Yun Hai. The dialogue between the characters was genuine and didn’t feel forced, and the narrative moved along without any bumps. The main character is the kind of person who treats his buddies better than total strangers. The minimal family drama was well received. The male lead has certain peculiarities, but I wouldn’t really call him a 2d. Although he has issues, he is a typical high school boy. His arrogant personality is overshadowed a lot. The male lead’s family disputes are only present in the last half of the story. Therefore, it is not surprising that other characters aren’t featured more.

Star Power:

Yan An and Wang Guang Yuan are in the lead roles and Zhang Teng etc., in the supporting role. In contrast to other fiction where the male lead is portrayed as a learning God and an all-rounder, he receives very average grades, even though he is a poor student. However, he does have great strength and fighting prowess, and the main character is also just an average student with the exception of the fact that he is the basketball team’s captain.

Overall Opinion:

This is a lighthearted, humorous narrative about high school. Despite the unsatisfying ending, the story itself was fantastic. There are bright, tragic, and often humorous moments, therefore a pretty good watch for killing time.
