Drama Digest
The Mandarin television series “My Debate Opponent 2” narrates the tale of a collection of unconventional students brought together by a set of unethical teachers to participate in a debate contest. Their goal is to restore the school’s prestige. But the teachers had a different plan since the beginning.
The Feel-Good Part
The leading couple had great chemistry throughout the series. The story revolves around the debates, and eventually, characters can relate their real life to the debate topics and the content. The humor in the show was excellent. Each episode was super funny and gave the audience a good laugh. All the couples paired in the series were adorable and shared a beautiful bond.
The Disappointing Factor
The show was good, with a few minor flaws. The initial episodes were great, but the series became very slow and uninteresting.
In-Depth Analysis
Some sneaky teachers want to control the results of a school debate contest. They put together a strange mix of students they think will do badly. The group includes students like Xiao Yu and Nan Bei, who are pretty different. The teachers are sure this team will fail. But surprisingly, the team finds a way to use their skills together and becomes good at debating. They’re now ready to compete against other schools. The school principal who planned all of this is starting to worry. The plan might fail, and the team could end up doing well, which goes against what the principal wanted. The entire show is based on this debate competition. Whatever goes around in the characters’ lives eventually ends up happening in the debates as well. There are a lot of characters that end up becoming best friends and couples through this competition. Eventually the teammates end up doing amazing and shock their audience with their responses.
Star Power
The cast of the series was excellent. Wu Jia Yi played the role of Mu Xiao Yu, Zhai Zi Lu played the role of Nan Bei, Wang Ze Xuan played the role of Ma Nan, Lu Zhao Hua played the role of Xiaong Zi Shi, Mi Mi played the role of Tao Hao, and Chen Ze played the role of Liu Yan Ze.
Overall Opinion
This show is a sequel to ‘Hello Debate Opponent 1.’ If you’ve watched that drama, you should watch this one too!
