Drama Digest

For the first time, Wang Xiao Shi sets out from the mountain. Wen Rou, Bai Chou Fei, and Su Meng Zhen are the people he meets, and they become his friends for life. The capital city, where competent men may thrive, is where he finds companionship and enthusiasm. As time goes on, he gradually changes from an immature young man. With the help of his companions, he goes from being an inexperienced young man to a heroic figure.

The Feel Good Part

The acting and sword battle in martial arts are both well done and believable.

The Disappointing Part

The screenwriting is not very good, with several flaws, stupid logic, and many errors. This tale is about brotherhood, which explains why Wang Xiaoshi is so protective of his brothers’ connection and why he is grief-striken when they die. The script’s writing skips over the brotherly theme instead of fully bringing it out.

In-Depth Analysis

Wang Xiaoshi (Zeng Shun Xi, also known as Joseph Zeng), who dwells in the mountains, sets off on a quest to discover the world. He meets Bai Choufei (Liu Yuning) and Wen Rou (Yang Chaoyue), who become close friends and go on trips together. Wang Xiaoshi is honorable, laid-back, straightforward, kind, and always sees the best in others, but Bai Choufei is driven, ambiguous, harsh, and has a hint of evil about him. Bai Choufei wants to become well-known, whereas Wang Xiaoshi only intends to tour the globe. While visiting various places, they accidentally become involved in Jiangsu politics and encounter Su Meng Zhen ( Baron Chen), the head of the House of Sunset Drizzle. This strong, moral organization supports jiangsu by delivering justice to the weak and needy. Su Mengzhen is ill, and he needs aid from those with skills. The three men swear allegiance to one another and become sworn brothers. However, as the narrative progresses, Bai Choufei strays because he wants to be ranked first and is uncomfortable with being under Su Mengzhen.

Star Power

The whole cast of this drama gives insightful and well-executed performances. There are iconic characters like Baron Chen’s charming Su Meng Zhen and Meng Zi Yi’s heartbreaking Lei Chun. Jiang Hao’s inhabitants, including the Fang Ying Kan, Yang Wu Xie, Zhao Xiao Yao, Lei Mei, Lei Sun, and Di Fei Jing, provide the variety and quirkiness that ground this wuxia. In such great company, the acting of the three young actors, who represent the future generation of martial artists, seems pale.

Overall Opinion

The entire drama is wuxia-themed. The story examines the meaning of life, the distinction between living and surviving, encourages the freedom of beliefs, criticizes authoritarianism, and is profoundly political.
