1. Shutter
In 2008, Hollywood remade 2004 released the Thai film Shutter with the same name. It is a supernatural horror movie in which a photographer and his wife hit a young woman in a car accident and left her to die. Later they start finding scary shadows of a girl in their pictures. This movie was a success but it got a lot of hate.
2. Alone
Released in 2015 the Bollywood movie Alone, starring Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover. In this movie, the dead young sister of the heroine haunts her and makes her life miserable. The film is a remake of the Thai movie released in 2007 with the same name. The remake was a flop and the film was not liked by the people.
3. Bayama Irukku
Bayama Irukku is a Tamil movie released in 2017. It is a horror comedy movie based on Thai folklore. The film is a remake of the Thai movie Pee Mak. In the film the main character comes home after serving in the army. He invites his three soldier friends, and they witness that the whole village is terrified of a ghost. The soldiers come to know that the spirit is their friend’s wife.
4. Notebook
Notebook is a Hindi movie released in 2019. It is the remake of the 2014 released Thai movie The Teacher’s Diary. The movie is about a retired officer who joins his father’s school. There he finds a notebook of the previous teacher, and he falls in love with her after reading the memories she wrote.
5. Pattiyal
Pattiyal is a crime thriller Tamil movie, released in the year 2006. It is the remake of the 1999 released Thai movie, Bangkok Dangerous. The story revolves around a deaf assassin and his partner living in Bangkok.
6. 13 Sins
13 sins is an American movie released in the year 2014. It is a horror and thriller movie and is a remake of the 2006 released Thai movie 13 Beloved. The story is about a boy named Elliot who receives a mysterious phone call that forces him to play a scary game by offering big rewards. The competition gives him tasks, and those tasks get evil one after the other.
7. Kinavalli
Kinavalli is a Malayalam movie released in 2018. This movie is a remake of the 2013 released Thai movie Pee Mak. Kinavalli translates to Dream Vine; it is a fantasy and horror movie. In this movie, Vivek invites all his friends to celebrate his wedding anniversary with his wife, Ann. Soon they start experiencing paranormal activities around them.
8. Geethaanjali
Geethaanjali is a Malayalam horror movie released in 2013. It is the official remake of the 2007 released Thai movie Alone. In this movie, psychologist Doctor sunny tries to solve the paranormal activities in his household. This movie has only 3.5 ratings out of 10 and it was not enjoyed by the audience.

Jumbo is a Hindi dubbed version of the Thai 3D animated movie Khan Kluay. The year of release of the film was 2008. Various bollywood stars did the dubbing for this movie like Akshay Kumar and Gulshan Grover.
