Takuya Kimura is a Japanese actor, singer, and voice artist born on November 13, 1972, in Tokyo. He started his career as a singer and auditioned for Jonny & Associates. He was first among the boys known as The Skate Boys, mainly backup dancers for the boy band Hikaru Genji. Then, out of those boys, six boys were selected to debut in a boy band called SMAP. Takuya was an active member of the band. The boy band disbanded in 2016, and now Takuya is a solo artist. In 1988, he debuted as an actor in the series Abunai Shonen III.
