Battle Spirits: Kakumei no Galette is a sequel to the famous anime series Battle Spirits: Saga Brave and a prequel to the show Battle Spirits: Mirage. The show came out years after the release of the original Battle Spirits. It continues the story of its predecessors while introducing new elements to the show.

The Feel-Good Part

The feel-good part of the show is the character development the characters go through. The adjustment to society and trying to live together with a new race. The show answers a lot of moral questions and provides a feeling of unity to the viewers. The main focus of the characters is to achieve and maintain peace between different races. It gives a good lesson to the viewers and human society.

The Disappointing Factor

To be honest, there were no disappointing aspects in this series. The only thing that we can point out is how it ended with a lot more questions regarding the main issue. There was no closure provided until the end. The show is only 5 episodes so it might have been difficult to sum everything up in that. the show also has a sequel justifying the abrupt ending. So overall it was not disappointing, but the ending felt unfinished.

In-Depth Analysis

Battle Spirits: Kakumei no Galette is a sequel to the famous anime series Battle Spirits: Saga Brave and a prequel to the show Battle Spirits: Mirage. Not years, but centuries later the happenings of Saga Brave, a new third race known as the Mauve has surfaced. Mauve’s only plan is to exist peacefully. But based on their instinct the humans and Mazoku consider a threat to the peace in their lives. Mauve is purple blooded creatures with an elevated level of intelligence making them a little intimidating. As a result, humans, and Mazoku are wary of the new race. They are socially shunned and prejudiced against. Experiencing this discrimination, a teenage Mauve called Galette starts a path to revolution. He starts a journey of revolt to find a way so that all the three races can understand each other. His main goal is to achieve peace among all three races by playing Battle Spirits. Battle Spirits is a card game among players. Galette’s motive is pure, but his main obstacles are the other races. The other races claim that the only way to maintain peace is through violence.

Star Power

The star power of the show is Galette. A teenager to change society and bring world peace. Not a new idea but interpreted interestingly. The concept of the show itself is fresh and inviting. The characters are beautifully written, and the plot is very well executed. Galette is a relatable character with a charming personality. A complex protagonist for a layered show.

Overall Opinion

Overall, it is an entertaining show with a fresh concept. It is a great watch for Battle Spirits fans. It is advisable to watch the prequels first to understand the concept of the show. Since the running time for each episode is not that long it will be easy to watch.
