Watch the movie and find out.

The Feel-Good Part

This movie is very relatable to people who are anxious and socially awkward. It shows how having great friends helps in many ways, especially when you don’t know how to express your emotions. Friends can help, and if their plans work out, you can have an easy escape. The film’s themes of friendship and love are very prominent throughout the show. The main protagonist is very charming, and even though he is shy and introverted, it never seems like he is spineless or does not have his own identity. It is a perfect balance of great friends and a perfect story. The main character also does not fit into the traditional K drama main lead mold. He is unique and does not fit into conventional beauty roles, proving he is a talented actor.

The Disappointing Factor

Visually, the show is a bit of a letdown. K dramas usually have a beautiful visual appeal. The color grading for this film is very dull and monotonous. There is little to no visual spectacle to it. The storyline might get a bit cringe. It is a classic romance drama at the end of the day, so that is a strong possibility. The melodramatic nature does not necessarily help the overall quality of the film. Also, several moments within the film make you shout, “Just tell her already.” This melodrama probably stems from the fact that if the main lead confessed his feelings instead of the elaborate plan, things wouldn’t be as dramatic as they are. Some may enjoy the film and what it says about love, introversion, and friendship. It is melodramatic, which makes the film what it is.

In-Depth Analysis

Would you confess your love to your crush, or would you ask your friends to devise a beautiful and intricate plan to help you confess your love? This movie tells you what happens when you choose the latter. It is a tad bit melodramatic, but if you choose the intricate plan, then the melodrama is bound to happen. The film is a beautiful representation of introverted yet hopeless romantics. It is a bit dull, but the story makes up for it. The movie teaches us to be ourselves and go for what we love because when we put that power in the hands of others, we will never have any certainty.

Star Power

Kim Choong Gil directed the film. He also happens to be the main role in the movie. This film is Kim Choong Gil’s second film direction. His other directorial work is That Didn’t Happen. He has starred in several films and dramas, including Youth Talk, Loser’s Adventure, Flowe Boy Next Door, Strongest Deliveryman, and many more. He adds an extra element of authenticity and wholesomeness to the film and does his best as the film’s lead. The other lead of the film is Hwang Hyun Joo. Hwang Hyun Joo is a Korean model who found success on the fourth season of the hit TV show Korea’s Next Top Model. Within the film, she gives a great performance as the love interest and creates a great contrast to the shy and bumbling lead actor. We also have our two best friends, played by I’m Sung Kyun and Lee Sa Ra. These actors give an amazing and hilarious performance of the friends who are just trying to help. Since many of these actors are new to the scene, you can feel the chemistry between the cast.

Overall Opinion

This movie is fun and cute. If you are not into melodramatic films, you may not like this film. But if you are looking for something cute to watch in your spare time, you will enjoy it.
