Drama digest
This show is a mini–Thai Boys’ love series. It defines the relationship between the two leads which starts off as friendship but changes into something more complex soon.
The Feel-good part
The writing of the series is a major plus. Though confusing at the start, the series flows beautifully throughout. The acting is amazing. Both the main leads seem comfortable and natural with each other. The cinematography of the series is beautiful.
The disappointing factor
The series is not a lot different from the other major BL dramas that Thailand have released namely, 2gether, Tharntype, Why r u the series, etc, which might sound non-appealing to a lot of audiences. The story is really confusing at parts and requires the audience to stay till the very end to know what happens.
In-depth analysis
The start of the series is based in a jungle. The first couple of episodes are really perplexing and leave the viewers confused about what is happening exactly. But with time, the story gets better and unfolds beautifully. It tells the story of its two protagonists, Mork and Tiew. Mork and Tiew are both school students. After meeting at the school, they become acquaintances. They decide to help each other with school projects and other related stuff. Both start hanging out with each other more often. They go on cycle and motorcycle rides, visit jungles and roam around, just wasting time. This leads to them getting closer. One day both of them promised to meet at a mountain called Chiang Mai, which was the place where they had first met. Just visiting the mountain brings so many memories back for them. For fun, both of them decide to play a game called the ‘Stranger game.’ In this game, both of them have to pretend to meet each other for the first time all over again. But things take a weird and unexpected turn when the viewers learn that Mork has a twin named Mon. Not only Mork but Mon had been meeting Tiew secretly too without letting the other know. Tiew had no idea about them being twins and kept thinking they were the same person. One day, an unexpected incident hinders their lives. This incident is the death of Tiew in a car accident. But, Tiew is given a chance to live his normal life for another 99 days. Tiew knows his feelings towards Mork have changed, and as he does not have much time left, he wants to confess to Mork as soon as possible. The problem happens when both brothers end up falling for Tiew. After 90 days of Tiew’s death, Mork passes away too and enters the afterlife with Tiew. In the end, all the confusion of Mork and Mon is solved, and Tiew and Mork confess to each other.
Star power
The writers of the show were its major stars due to the writing of a unique storyline. Though the series didn’t receive as much recognition as it should’ve, it did brilliantly in terms of the portrayal of a unique story.
Overall opinion
The cinematography and the setting of the story build a natural and soothing vibe with a sense of pain. Overall, the show is a complicated and unique love story one will cherish.
