Drama Digest

Gong Ju Young is a high school student who falls in love with Wang Ja Rim at first sight. But Wang Ja Rim is very remote and distant and so it is not easy to woo her over. At first, she is completely unimpressed with his childish tactics but then slowly she opens up to him and starts liking him.

But Gong Ju Young’s friend Lee Kyung Woo ruins some things unintentionally or intentionally.

The Feel-Good Part

The show is very funny. Despite having the same high school story which every other high school drama has, this one is hilarious. It is light, easy, and fun to watch the show.

The overall story is also good because it reverses the character dynamic, where, in other dramas, the male lead is cold and aloof and the female lead is cute, here, the roles are reversed.

The Disappointing Factor

The male lead acts too cute sometimes which gets annoying and you will really sympathize with the female lead because he just gets on your nerves at some points. There is a fine line between acting cute and acting cheesy and the male lead definitely crosses it which gets cringy at times.

In-Depth Analysis

Love Revolution is a high school romance based on a webtoon. It revolves around Gong Ju Young, Wang Ja Rim, and Lee Kyung Woo. Wang Ja Rim is an aloof character who does not mingle with anyone and Gong Ju Young has the complete opposite personality. He is cute and funny and falls for Wang Ja Rim at first sight. Then there is Lee Kyung Woo who also likes Wang Ja Rim.

The show is a good light heartwarming watch. The problems are not exaggerated and don’t take five episodes to get solved. The storyline has nothing new to offer. Things flow smoothly but towards the end, things happen. The ending for the main couples was fine but it doesn’t give a hint about the second lead couple.

Star Power

The stars are good and they actually feel like high school students. Every character is well played. Even though Park Ji Hoon did a little too much, it was fine.

Overall Opinion

The drama is good if you are looking for a lighthearted high school romance. It is good for a one-time watch.
