Drama digest:
This is a story of a group of different people coming together to form a special investigation force to tackle several criminal issues happening around the country. Although their life stories are different from each other, they must work together to bring harmony and justice to society.
The feel-good factor:
The story is well-paced and is well appreciated by a large audience. Someone who loves criminal dramas is bound to love this one. The scenes and life stories of all the characters immerse us in the story and make us attached to the characters. The story is very believable, tragic, action-packed, and emotional.
The disappointing factor:
It is one of those very few series’, where you can hardly find a fault. But the only thing that can bother the viewers is the show being clumsy during some scenes of the show, such as fake fighting, not touching the food while eating, etc.
In-depth analysis:
The first character of the story is Fushimi Kyosuke, who was a former detective of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police’s First Investigation Division(KBSC). He resigns from his post as a cop after his fiancé gets murderer by a serial killer three years before the story. He has a fantastic temperament and composure. Due to these qualities, his ex-boss, Shimbara Yuri, suggests he join a special investigation team that helps the people who are overlooked by the law. This leads to the formation of the Kanagawa special analysis center, also known as KSBC short. Later, a few other people join this force too. All these people are different people from various walks of life and backgrounds. These people are-
- Minatogawa Yumiko- a single mother to her only son and an ex-Self Defence Forces officer. She had murdered her husband to protect her son.
- Komaki Kaname- who’s a specialized and skilled hackerand was arrested for hacking the Ministry of Defence’s servers five times. Even though he has an intelligent and quick mind, he’s arrogant sometimes but doesn’t mean any offense.
- Nagashi Fumika- she’s a skilled and experienced data analyst who has previously worked for the Cyber Crime Division. She is serious about her work and hates to lose.
- Yamazaki Tatsujiro- He’s a Specialized criminal psychologist who was a professor at the national university. He is smart and accurately remembers and anticipates various criminal behaviors. In the past, he had gotten involved in an illegal group crime for some reason.
- Shimabara Yuri- She is the ex-boss of Fushimi Kyosuke. She and Fushimi were the first investigating officers to join the Kanagawa police force. She’s worked with Fushimi the longest, so she knows him the best. She’s a person with a strong sense of justice and responsibility. She is also the head of this new KSBC unit.
All these people’s work field is vast such as gathering information from more than 5 lakh CCTV surveillance cameras to track down the culprits. Even though they seem like a perfect and balanced team, all of them carry their dark pasts on their backs.
Star power:
The main character of the show Fushimi Kyosuke played by Kamenashi Kazuya, was exceptional to watch. He did great throughout the series by portraying all his emotions well. Especially during the last episode of the show, he made everyone in the audience cry with his acting.
Overall opinion:
It is an excellent series that vividly focuses on every aspect of it.
