Drama Digest –

The main role of Kanagawa Prefectural Police’s Investigation Support Analysis Centre is to tackle criminal investigations by using big data such as the footage collected from surveillance cameras across the nation. Ushimi Kyosuke, a former detective with the Prefectural Police’s First Investigation Division, is now a special investigator whose loved one was murdered by a serial killer. Fushimi Kyosuke and many others are all related by a certain fate, and they make a dream team to reach a criminal, who connects them all to a dark past. All of them are the victim of the enemy on many levels, and their coming together to fight shows the power of unity.

The Feel-Good Part –

This series has many twists which keep the viewer’s breath-holding until the very end. American shows like The Mentalist or the Person of Interest are comparable to this show, and the audience seems to be similar for all of them. A single enemy who fights and approaches them from all sides at the dream team, having individual experiences for each of them. It was difficult to see them suffer for the viewer. The actor playing for the enemy is applaudable, as he keeps his head high dealing with all the negativity and is always there to fight for his aim.

The Disappointing Factor –

The story feels repetitive in many ways. Being plots like when Yamazuki comes up with cases every time, and every case reminds him of a case he has dealt with before. The story also feels stretched and extended much more than the viewer’s interest. The story also gets weak and confusing in some parts, and it is too much to frustrate the viewer sometimes. Such plotlines are used many times to make many types of series in many languages and platforms, so it is best to switch over and create something unique.

In-Depth Analysis –

The supporting cast of the film, apart from Fushimi, are very skilled and professional with their job of showcasing the right emotions onscreen. The final episode, which wraps up the entire series, touched the hearts of the audience by being emotional and heartwarming. The message given by the series is powerful, that evil results up to evil only. It should be fought, not supported. The background score is appropriate for the scenes.

Star Power –

There are many characters in the show, which is exciting to watch as so many people can choose with whom they attach the most. Fushimi Kyosuke is a former detective with the Prefectural Police First Investigation Division and now is the special investigator due to the sudden demise of his loved one, killed by a serial killer. Other members include a single mother, an expert profiler and a young genius hacker. They all together crack the mystery of a criminal who has affected their life in many ways.

Overall Opinion –

This series is a strong contender of being the next thriller series you can binge-watch on weekends.
