Drama Digest

Meitantei Stay Homes is a Japanese show. This is a two-episode thriller show set in the world after the pandemic. The plot of the show is very simple. The male lead Aida Ataru is an apprehensive person who has hardly left his home due to the pandemic. He is stuck at home staring at his screens most of the time when he comes across an interesting case. Nothing better to do he begins trying to solve the mystery on his own.

The Feel-Good Part

There are so many feel-good parts in the show as the geeky main character tries to solve the mystery with his technological knowledge. The show is pure comedy wrapped with the perfect amount of suspense to keep the viewers on edge. The show also reminds the viewers of the risks of putting information on the internet and how it can be used or misused.

The Disappointing Factor

The biggest disappointing factor of the show is that it’s only a two-episode-long show. The script is basic and simple. But it does justice to the entire runtime of the show. But it was so refreshing and intriguing to watch the team solve the mystery that a few more episodes would’ve made it even better.
