Drama Digest
The story is about a high-school student named Ae Jin. She has average looks and is bullied by the other students. She finds a way to keep up with her bullies and feels good about herself. She uses her makeup and photoshop skills to edit her photos. She posts those photos on her social media account but uses a different name.
She soon becomes a famous social media personality with her name Genie and 770k followers. The students at the school are unaware of Ae Jin being Genie on social media. Soon a boy at her school finds out about her secret and starts threatening her.

It is a rare K-drama where the main lead ends with the second lead. There is no typical K-drama romance involved, and the plot is thrilling to watch.

The story at the beginning is well-executed but is being somehow dragged around. There are many unnecessary characters involved which lose the focus from the drama.

Ae Jins’ inner pain and her conflict with herself are being shown very well. The show has a real dark side to it. The drama shows todays’ reality and the beauty standard that people have created for themselves. The main lead goes through a lot that makes the audience pity her. The relationship between the main character and her mom is very complex. The drama highlights the inferiority complex and the psychological mentality of every character to deal with their demons.

The series is been blessed with great performances by each artist. The actual performance by the actors connects well with the audience.

The drama is amazingly thrilling but can be tedious in some parts. It has one of the best romances compared to the other K-dramas.
