The story follows Chu Chu, as she embarks on her journey to become the best Coroner. She meets the son of a princess, Jin Yu, pretending to be a corpse assisting in her test. Their meeting leads them to work together to solve murder cases, including one that could shake up the entire kingdom. Their investigations lead them to truths about Jin Yu’s father, Chu Chu’s biological family, and their relationship. Even after being constantly at the risk of being harmed, Jin Yu and Chu Chu must overcome their fears together to unveil the mysteries of the investigation and find out the real mastermind behind the murders.

The Feel-Good Part

The story is well-written with a close-knit plot and clever detective cases that keep you hooked from the beginning and don’t let you leave until the end. Often, the mysterious atmosphere is followed by bits and pieces of comic relief by the adorable side characters. The protagonists are well-developed and realistic, with the side characters being wholesome in their own right. They solve mysteries through teamwork and help each other out. As the series progresses, the characters grow on you with charming smiles and sweet personalities.

The Disappointing Factor

The villains in the series are despicable with their evil schemes, seeming calm with their well-charted plans. Towards the ending of the series, the villains become impatient and act irrationally, making errors in their judgments. The ending episodes could’ve been a bit fast-paced to give proper closure to the villain and the leads and offer a more satisfying ending.

In-Depth Analysis

The series executes a well-written, tightly scripted plot, keeping the audience glued to their screens. The characters are balanced, with everyone playing their part in contributing to the investigation. The relationship between Jin Yi and Jin Yu is unique and wholesome, different from the deceptive family battling for power plotline. The relationships and chemistry between Chu Chu and the other characters is also a delight to watch. The series also pays special attention to tiny details to show the character’s emotions, making it a satisfying watch.

Star Power

The plot is well-balanced. At the same time, the chemistry and love between the two protagonists becomes the highlight of the show. The trust Chu Chu and Jin Yu have for each other makes them stand out and forces the audience to root for them as they struggle and come out victorious. The romance is slow-burning but makes it all the more satisfying when the leads finally come together.

Overall Opinion

This historical drama is sure to entertain you love suspenseful yet wholesome dramas with a sprinkle of humor, romance, and likable characters that keep you glued to your screens and wanting for more.
