Time-travel seems like a thing of fantasy. This drama follows a writer, who gets transported to her very own novel. It follows her as she tries to survive and learn her way around in ancient times while adhering to the plot she devised.
The Feel-Good Part
This show is beautifully crafted. From the scenic beauty and landscapes to the buildings, make-up, and clothes of the characters, it appears to draw inspiration from the old times. As a result, it transports you to a time you would most definitely would see in historical books and other artifacts described as.
The Disappointing Factor
The series lives up to the expectations and does not disappoint in any manner. It has a stellar cast and the story flows in a nice manner, which makes it worthwhile to watch. And as such, there is nothing disappointing one can find about it.
In-Depth Analysis
Season 2 is a continuation of Season 1, which depicts Yan Yi Yi, who is an internet writer. She works hard to meet deadlines and make her novel popular. One day, she unexpectedly gets transported, not back or forward in time, but into her own novel. As she enters her own story, she decides to become a ruthless female supporter. She decides to have a battle with the emperor, and so, she makes use of her wits and courage. She does this to ensure that she leaves no open holes at the conclusion of her journey to the cold palace. However, the book official warns her that if not for her entering the cold palace, as per the original storyline, she would no longer exist and would be annihilated. So, in order to keep herself alive and prevent the storyline from being disturbed, she decides to keep the story running to prevent such a dangerous conclusion while also coming to terms with her growing affection for the emperor.
Star Power
The stellar cast lives up to the roles they have been cast for. It makes one wonder whether this drama and the actors were made for each other.

The series lives up to the expectations and does not disappoint the audience. It has a great cast and a fast-paced narrative, so it’s definitely worth your time to watch.
