Drama Digest

The series is a sports drama about professional table tennis players and their quest to become world-class ambassadors of the sport. The story is about Yu Ke Nan, a talented ping-pong player, who is forced to quit the first national team and how he eventually works his way back to the top. When Xu Tan, an introvert who took up ping-pong because of his grandfather’s encouragement, is about to quit, he is approached by a coach. That is the start of his road to becoming the most versatile and dependable team captain.

The Feel-Good Part

The story is about making objectives, sticking to them, and succeeding in the face of adversity. It’s unexpectedly amusing and entertaining to see. This play provides us with a glimpse into the making of champions.

The Disappointing Factor

The handiest disappointing component of this drama is that it’s far too lovable to end.

In-depth Analysis

There are endless competitions of ping pongs with two young males at the center. Yu Kenan is wild but talented, whereas Xu Tan is physically unfit but intensely passionate. Despite their opposed dispositions, Xu Tan and Yu Kenan follow the same path in their sporting careers and experience a watershed moment in Chinese ping pong history. Xu Tan is a character who goes through a significant metamorphosis. He begins the sport under the encouragement of his grandpa to enhance his health and get recognition for his ability. Yu Kenan is a prominent family’s top player who realizes that there are many things he still has to master. They are competitors of the biggest competition of their lives, fighting for their aspirations for sake of their nation.

Star Power

The two lead performers do an excellent job in their characters, and the contrast between them — one was born to win, while the other is more of a victim — is quite effective on screen. Bai Jing Ting is fantastic in the character of the nerdy youngster who grows up to be a world champion. Bai Jing Ting has offered us some incredible acting, and as a world-class table tennis player, he is believable. Yu Ke Nan’s gameplay is flawless and convincing, making him the most fearsome table tennis player on the planet. The supporting characters and the second lead are fantastic, and they are all performed by genuinely outstanding performers. The plots, on the other hand, never overshadow or bury the main tale but rather support and foster it.

Overall Opinion

We should not mourn over the fact that we have not achieved the same level of success as others; instead, we should ask ourselves if we are ready to give up everything to attain it, as this drama’s theme suggests. Overall, the narrative is excellent, with the scriptwriters meticulously developing our main heroes’ sufferings, challenges, growth, and maturity as they progress through their lives.
