Shen Ruo Xin is a professional career lady in her 30s who is balancing a lot of things in her life. She handles everything in her life with grace and poise while managing to find romance in an unexpected place. From swimming through the cesspool of office politics with nepotism, sabotage, and business problems, to tolerating parental pressure to settle and marry, she has a lot on her plate.
The Feel-Good Part
The story’s dynamics, structure, and characters’ personality development are all exactly right. The focus isn’t on romance, but it is a well-executed component. Characters are lifelike and three-dimensional. It doesn’t make the age disparity a big deal or revolve around it but displays it with sensitivity. The drama is about their lives, their jobs, and how they pursue their dreams.
The Disappointing Factor
The handiest disappointing component of this drama is that it’s far too lovable to end.
In-depth Analysis
Shen Ruoxin is a legal advisor for an automobile firm. She’s currently dealing with a self-driving car from her firm that caught fire and burnt the wife of one of their most powerful clients. She attempts to make amends by giving her flowers, but she also questions, not-so-gently, whether the car swamped or if something else occurred before the tragedy.
Rouxin works in a male-dominated sector, and while her supervisor Xu Mingjie (Calvin Li) respects her, her male coworkers do not. She’s also debating whether or not it’s time to call it quits with her dominating boyfriend, Cui Lixin (Tong Yue), who continues checking in on her; they’ve worked together for years, but their three-month relationship anniversary is approaching. Rouxin’s mother, who is solidly in Lixin’s side, continually presses her to marry before she is an old maid, adding to her anxiety. She stumbles into a young man called Qi Xiao (Dylan Wang) when shopping for a fruit basket to give to the victim. He’s racing after his business associate, who practically seized his investment in their internet site and chose to go to another city with her lover. She chastises him for grabbing his companion and lists the relevant legislation and consequences.
Xiao encourages his buddy Su Yang (Chen Peng Wan Li) by taking him to a rooftop lounge on the Bund. The chance to be in town for Rouxin’s buddy Ziyang’s birthday celebration (Bao Wen Jing). Knowing where they would be, Lixin surprised Rouxin with roses and a ring; he believes they should be married after three months of dating. He even deposited for an apartment for the couple. When Rouxin expresses shame over the incident, an intoxicated Xiao walks over to rage at her and protect her. She ultimately gives Lixin the huck when she sees the apartment, believing that he’s placing too much stress on her after just three months of dating.
Star Power
Dylan Wang has finally landed a leading part, in which he excels and demonstrates his exceptional acting ability. His energy and emotions are natural if he isn’t acting his nature. Qi Xian is high-spirited, personable, and self-assured while being mature. His grin and occasionally odd reactions are the icings on the cake. Despite being a chocolate boy, he stands out among the clichéd protagonists. He has ambitions, plans for the future, and he always gives his all.
Overall Opinion
This show is for an older audience; it is slow-paced and does not contain a lot of romance. It is character-driven and female-centered, with a focus on how women attain their objectives. It also acts as an awakening to viewers since it represents real-life events that individuals in current society confront and ponder on.
