Drama Digest –
Mo Yi is disappointed and upset about her career and love life until she accidentally reunites with her childhood friend, You Yu. They both began encouraging each other to become better people and eventually live together. A love connection blossoms between the two. Mo Yi is shocked to realize that You Yi came from another time and space. You Yi came for change and transformed the dull and meaningless life of Mo Yi, and to make her realize her worth and potential, to bring the old lost spark she once had in her.
The Feel-Good Part –
The miniseries is around 2 hours long with 20 episodes of 6 minutes long and two large episodes of 42 mins. The series is pretty straightforward and sweet. The main lead liked the female lead since childhood, but they eventually lost contact. The main lead somehow decides to go to the future where they are working professionals, where they live together and begins to love once again. Every character has its trauma, but the way they all focus on the sport and the accompanying music playing in the background is very inspiring and exciting to watch.
The Disappointing Factor –
The props placement in the series is disappointing. The jar of cosmetics is kept somewhere else, and the drinks are not in the fridge. It makes the series look hysterical and distracts the audience from the scenes. Some advertisements endorsements are also done in the series wherein the main lead talks about the benefits of a product being advertised. The series feels fake and pretentious at some sections of the plot, and they seem to make a long advertisement backed up by a story made for the advertisement marketing.
In-Depth Analysis –
There are not many surprises and weird plot twists in the series. The couple has good chemistry and makes up to a good looking and cute couple. It has a decent plot with not much excitement. Each episode is quick and well written. There are no confusing scenes and each scene is captivating to the story. The series is straightforward and short. It is already established that the love would blossom between the main characters, but the climax spoke for itself. It was self-explanatory and rewarding to watch until the very end.
Star Power –
The actors, whether main or supporting, are doing a great job in showcasing the emotions of the characters. They seem to have good chemistry, and there is no push and pull scenes and no such mean characters, which changes the plot twists and creates no drama. Both the main characters had their charm. While Mo Yi was more a meek and shy girl, tired with her life at present and wishes to run away, You Yi is a handsome, confident and energized guy determined to help Mo Yi in succeeding in her life. The character development works for the plotline.
Overall Opinion –
It has a beautiful and harmless plot with a cute story with minimal investments of time and emotions.
