Drama Digest –
Luo Qian Yi and her fiance Hou You Ze, the Mingyou Group’s CEO, met with an unfortunate accident during their trip to Hokkaido, Japan. A sudden avalanche leads to the destruction of Qian Yi and she loses all her memory. The female violinist fights with herself and the world to regain her violin skills and her love, Hou You Ze. The drama is enthralling and intriguing with the plot being straightforward and honest. The story progresses beautifully, and the viewer gradually grasps the background and motivations of the various characters.
The Feel-Good Part –
The past incidents of each character are beautifully portrayed and the show is not draggy. The pacing is well-executed and the series transitions seamlessly, balancing suspense, tragedy, and thrill with a lot of twists and new surprises to be introduced. The climax written for this series is very well-made and nicely portrayed. Although Luo Qian Yi is a highly talented, young female violinist with the world seemingly at her feet, everything went to naught due to the accident, and now she needs to find herself and her love in the fog of her memories.
The Disappointing Factor –
The background music is overdone in some parts of the series while being appropriate in some segments. The series also lacks logic and coherence. The CGI during the avalanche looks fake and flashy, and it makes the audience laugh instead of understanding the depth and dimension of the situation.
In-Depth Analysis –
The story unfolded piece by piece with each episode, and that’s the beauty of this series. It keeps on getting better and better. The romantic segment is better with good flashbacks of their love after they separate. Both of the characters have their fears and pains, and they both deal with them and also in the quest of finding each other and their love. This is one of the beautiful stories made in the form of drama.
Star Power –
The male lead’s acting is the most impressive of them all. The acting and the character development are spectacular, and it truly brings another high to the series. His acting style towards the female lead is very nice, with his versatility and micro-expressions. The female lead is also getting better with the progression of the series, both in terms of acting and character development. It is rare for such a nice portrayal of acting in Chinese drama.
Overall Opinion –
It is a worthwhile watch for those who enjoy romantic thrillers with an unconventional framework.
