Drama Digest:
The show starts at Zijing Hotel. Gu Sheng works as a junior chef in the kitchen of the hotel. She wants to express her every emotion through the dishes which she makes and this way she sharpens her skills as a chef. Meanwhile, she meets with Lu Jin, the sharp-tongued would-be boss, and a misunderstanding is created between them.
Lu Jin is a business prodigy and he doesn’t hesitate to make tough decisions. He constantly condemns the food of the Zijing hotel. But his mind is changed after tasting the dishes that Sheng Nang made. He is impressed with Sheng Nan’s food and her cooking skill. He appreciates her talent. They are starting to share a beautiful bond. Can they fall in love?
The Feel-Good Part:
The romance between them is so sweet and funny. The screen presence of the characters is admirable. The female lead is the chef and paving her way to her career is satisfying to watch. During the first half, the chemistry between the main characters is excellent. The age gap between the main characters feels so pleasant and watching their romance bloom feels funny and exciting.
The OSTs are so soothing and ear-catching. You can hear the OSTs over and over.
The Disappointing Factor:
The second half is pretty boring, irrelevant and full of business chaos. The business drama is not that much exciting. The male lead’s mother seems pretty unreasonable. The cliche in-laws hating feels drawn out and redundant. It is disappointing that the strong female lead turns into a powerless girl and follows the male lead during the second half. This half of the drama makes the actors’ chemistry vanish. It instead starts making the audience feel more of a questionable relationship.
In-Depth Analysis:
The relationship between the brothers is not so good. The mother is too good with her sons, but she behaves harshly with the female lead in the show.
Star Power:
The actors did an excellent performance. The male lead, Lin Yu Shen as Lu Jin, portrayed every emotion perfectly.
The female lead, Zhao Lusi as Sheng Nan, is stunning and fun-loving. Zhao Lusi acted so naturally which made the character lively.
The other characters also did a fantastic job in their parts. The opposing roles are also promising. You can feel gross while watching the villainous characters.
Overall Opinion:
The story is pretty creative. The main couple is so sweet that it makes you keep smiling while watching silliness in love. It is a beautiful drama with some twists and turns which make the show enjoyable. If you watch this drama, you will not regret it.
