Drama Digest
“Duoluo Continent” is a 2021 Chinese television series based on a similar-name novel. It is an ancient fantasy story by Tang Jia Shan Shao. It is the story of Tang San, who had a tragic childhood. He lost his mother when he was young and has lived with his father ever since. He had immense strength and perseverance. He overcomes difficulties in protecting his family, revitalizes his clan, and becomes the strongest soul master on the continent.
The Feel-Good Part
The show had an excellent plan of suspense, humor, and action to keep it exciting. There were instances in the show where the seven Shrek and heads had some comedic severe moments. It is lighthearted and does not have grossing wildlands death and betrayals that often annoy viewers. The plot was easy to understand and had enough mystery and adventure to keep everyone intrigued and not confused.
The Disappointing Factor
The most significant disappointing factor for the show was the audio, which includes lots of background noises and changes in the voice of the actors.
In-Depth Analysis
After losing his mother at a young age, Tang San happily depended on his father as much as his father turned on him. He was meticulous and mature and had an extraordinary talent for his age. At 16, he was sent to Nuoding academy to pursue history and train himself to become the legendary soulmaster. He was under the tutor Yu Xiao Gang. There he makes friends with an orphan named Yahoo and the two of them together start their long and arduous journey of cultivation. They grow as time passes by and swear on their lives to protect each other for life. Both powers and connection screw their tutor Yu Ciao Gang and realizes that they need more guidance than what he was providing. The head sent the two of them to the Shrek Academy, where they joined five various prodigies from another academy who were also inter the journey of cultivation. All the seven prodigious were strong and hence were known throughout the land as “Shrek Seven Devils.” They continued to grow and their abilities were noticed by some famous novels that invited them to the esteemed Tian Dou Royal Academy to continue their cultivation. Soon after accepting the invitation, they face an intense struggle for power between the first and fourth princes. Meanwhile, Tang San discovers a hidden secret about his mother’s death. Tang San suddenly encountered many battles and had to fight to protect loved ones and reach his goal, which was to become the greatest soul master of all time.
Star Power
Throughout the show, the seven devils were all outstanding and experienced growth. All the actors blended well, and the acting was not disappointing. The infamous Xiao Zhan, as we know from the popular show “The untamed” role well even in this show. The other lead and supporting characters also did an outstanding job.
Overall Opinion
Overall, it is an incredible show with a straightforward storyline and a simple plot that is barely confusing. It includes all the elements required, such as humor, romance, and fiction. For those interested in fantasy, this is a perfect get-to-watch with Xiao Zhan from “The Untamed,” as the lead character.
