Drama Digest

The movie is about a group of idols in training who dream of getting up on a stage to perform. Gu Yang has been playing the piano since he was a child, and because of his talent, he got accepted to the Julliard School of Music, but his family went bankrupt, and he can no longer go to Julliard as planned. To continue his musical dreams and to soothe his mother, Gu Yang joins an agency to become an idol trainee. Gu yang is put in the backup group because he knows nothing about pop music since he had only trained in classical music. At the academy, Gu yang meets Zhao Zhengnan and Lu xing hao.  Zhao is a good dancer, and Lu Xinghao is a good singer. The two of them help Gu Yang improve, and together, they become part of the debut group. Lin Chen, who was once a friend of Gu yang, now thinks of him as a competitor and will do anything to win.

The Feel-Good Part

I love shows about idol trainees. They somehow tell the reality of an idol’s life, to some extent. I like the portrayal of friendship in this series and how an idol trainee lives his daily life.

The Disappointing Factor

Some viewers are confused about this series being a remake or a part of the last Airbender series. The series could get boring for some viewers who are not interested in any drama that deals with the entertainment industry and the lives of idol trainees.

In-Depth Analysis

Idol trainees have it tough, and this series just proved that case. The show talks about this boy, Gu yang, who has been playing the piano since he was a child; he always wanted to pursue music, and thus, he got into Juilliard music school but unfortunately, his mother went bankrupt and they could no longer afford the reputed college, still Gyu yang wanted to pursue music nevertheless and thus enrolled himself in an idol trainee school, where he meets two other boys, Zhao Zhengnan and Lu xing hao, who are good dancers and singers, and together the three of them work upon their weaknesses and improve upon their strengths. The show is a classic example of how friendships formed in times of need, last a long time. It is a lovely show, easy to watch,  and the actors have done an excellent job portraying their roles.

Star Power

The series is well made, nd all the people in the series have acted their roles excellently.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the theme behind the show has been kept well. The series focuses on the lives of idol trainees and how their practice for their careers affects their personal lives as well. The production does lack in some places, but the show is good enough to watch. It may not be a 10/10 show but it is an easy watch.
