Drama Digest
The story revolves around a couple who find themselves in a marriage they never expected. Wan Zi is clever and cheerful who has grown as a street performer, with her dad selling particular skill of breaking a stone with the chest. An unexpected event changes Wan Zi’s life. A girl who doesn’t even know how to read or write is becoming a princess. San Shao sends Wan Zi away, hoping that she will willingly retreat.
The Feel-Good Part
Started well but then went ordinary. The beginning episodes were interesting and explained the base story. Another likeable thing is both the couples are in one frame most of the time.
The Disappointing Factor
The storyline of the lead couple was not engaging. It is upsetting to, see that there is no character development. The chemistry between the main leads is not at all interesting. Want Zi, being a street performer has no complexity in her character. The leads could have been more convincing. The ending was miserable and the twists didn’t work.
In-Depth Analysis
The daughter of a street artist is forced to marry a bandit; another is a daughter of a prince who is to marry a general. The brides have switched, which resulted in a princess marrying a bandit, and an ordinary girl marrying a general. On this fateful day, both the girls are waiting in their rooms until the chaos hits. Due to the confusion, they ran back into the wrong rooms because the characters of their names were misread. From there, the brides were switched and sent to different households. The concept of changing two brides to be, of a couple of different statuses, uncovering past identities of the atonement of couples and them saving the world was excellent. It would have been implemented more cleverly and could have been satisfactory.
Star Power
The casting and acting were reasonable enough. But the characters could have been written more nicely. The efforts which the actors have put in their roles was good to see.
Overall Opinion
The storyline is not new it can be boring at times. Being a rom-com drama, the comedy is good. It is quite an enjoyable drama.
