Drama Digest

The story focuses on the story of Fang Li and Luo Yan. During the freshmen year of their high school, Fang Li, a small town girl and Luo Yan, an ideal student possessing a record filled with all straight A’s, end up becoming classmates. But things weren’t quite as pleasant as one might expect them to be. The handsome and intimidating Luo Yan was no less than a walking nightmare for Fang Li. However, despite the dislike and the fights, they both somehow survive. Now three years later all those things are long forgotten and in the faded past. Or at least that is what they believed until they are miraculously reunited in university. Fang Li once again is coerced to relive her ‘not-so-great’ past with Luo Yan. However, he doesn’t remember her. Irrespective of everything, the sunny girl is again face to face with the proud devil, wars are bound to happen. Thus, with the resumption of bickering, the old enemies obliviously embark on the voyage towards love as they discover their dreams and the path to them, in addition with experiencing some of the best time of their lives together.

The Feel-Good Part

The show has scads of different tropes, thus, offering all kind of different audience one thing or another. Wouldn’t be wrong to say that the show has something for everyone, and that is the exact reason which makes it seem way more promising. From the enemies to lover trope, memory loss, love triangle, second chances, first love come true, non-supportive parents, random evil villains to heartbroken second main lead and what not. You name it and the drama has it all. The drama might be a chief’s kiss for people who love mix of two or more tropes together, and somewhat over-the-top dramatic stories.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot missed consistence. Initially the drama is great but once you reach the mid the quality starts dropping slightly. Some episodes might not even feel important or seem making much contribution to the storyline. Rather, if we are being honestly, it feels as if the sole reason being shooting those episodes was probably the huge left over budget. Further, it was boring to some extends to see some characters being introduced just for the sake of propelling the plot, so it could be proceed ahead. In fact, many people that you see in different poster of the show aren’t even crucially important to the storyline. You will often see characters almost completing vanishing for a couple of episodes and then suddenly reemerging. Plus, the story occasionally also goes off track.

In-Depth Analysis

Regardless of everything and anything, the drama is very cute and pleasant and that can’t be denied. The chemistry between the main leads is great and everything is nice enough to not make you want to skip through scenes. It is your perfect typical high school/college rom-com story. The romance of the drama is given to not disappoint you at any point. The friendship between the characters are also something that is going to make you want to watch the show.

Star Power

It was no less than hitting a jackpot to see ‘Li Ge Yang’ finally plays the lead role. You will see him playing the role of charismatic Luo Yan and man does he do a good job! ‘Chen Fang Tong’ plays the role of Fang Li. The drama has a long list of supporting cast, including ‘Wen Mo Yan,’ ‘Nate Gong,’ ‘Luo Yi,’ ‘Xu Ying Luo,’ ‘Zhang Xing He,’ ‘Li Yang,’ etc.

Overall Opinion

It is a fun and sweet drama. The episodes are also not that long. Despite any drawbacks and stuff the drama is a good watch and the OST is also very alluring.
