They say that stardom is difficult to handle.Numerous K-pop idols have committed suicide as a result of pressure and haters. No idol deserves this. They also have a right to live their life as they choose. Despite their best efforts, they continue to face discrimination, sometimes for unjustified reasons.
1. Jennie Kim
Jennie is hated by many netizens for her so-called rude behavior. Her controversial bad behavior, lazy dancing, and dating scandals have sparked controversies many times. There have been times when she was blamed for no reason. Dating is a curse in the k-pop industry and whenever any of her photos go viral with a male idol, people start posting hate comments on her posts, on Twitter, and everywhere.
2. Hwasa
Hwasa is known to be one of the best vocals industry. Still, she receives a lot of hatred for her fearless behavior. The way she replies to her haters, the way she does not goes by the 'how to behave and how to dress' rule book. She is even body shamed for not fitting into Korean beauty standards. But these are the facts that make her stand out and these are the reasons she gets hatred, which she barely thinks about.
3. Kang Daniel
Kang Daniel was a former member of "Wanna One," which disbanded in 2019. He was denounced for getting too much attention and being the most famous member of the group. He was even condemned when the news of his relationship with Twice’s Jihyo surfaced on the internet. People thought he was not "good enough" for her, as Jihyo was still considered a rookie at that time.
4. BTS Maknae Line
V, Jimin, and Jungkook are the maknae of BTS. While a plethora of people loves to watch them, many people hate them for being in the limelight. They are accused of taking all the attention from the hyung line. They receive hatred for being more famous, which sounds as unfair as it is.
5. Kai
The member of a boy band, Exo is known as one of the finest dancers in the K-pop industry. Still, he was hated for allegedly looking rude and arrogant in a dance performance. Fans couldn't stand him being involved in dating scandals with f(x) Krystal and Blackpink's Jennie. He was backlashed after news of involvement in the dating controversies was published.
6. IU
IU is a K-pop idol established as a solo artist in the industry. She is known for her sweet and melodious voice. She has been in the k-pop industry for many years now. IU is probably one of the idols everyone looks up to. She is disliked by many for being Jungkook's ideal type. She was also hated for being romantically involved with Eunhyuk of Super Junior. It is deemed a curse in the K-pop industry to even think of dating, and many fans of the idols themselves start posting hate comments on the social media platforms of both the person involved.
7. Cha Eun-Woo
Cha Eunwoo marked his debut as a K-pop idol in 2017 with the boy band Astro. He is also a well-known actor who gained prominence after his performance in the Korean drama, True Beauty. His charismatic looks indeed have made him stand out, and this is the reason many antis hate him. They claim that he has reached this far only because of his visuals and that he lacks any talent.
8. Lisa
Lisa is one of the most successful and talented K-pop idols. Still, she is claimed to be not her real self and is hated by many international fans. They post racist comments about her Thai origins. Even though there is a large group of Blink who loves her and supports her. She has always been targeted for not being a good dancer and lacking in her visuals which is not the case.
9. Chaeryong
Chaeryoung is a member of the girl group ITZY. Since the group debuted in 2019, she has been targeted many times and called ugly for not fitting into Korean beauty standards. She is considered undeserving of her position by haters. She thought that this hate would settle down with time— but haters keep posting baseless hate comments in her live videos, posts, and everywhere. She has even talked about how much this hate has affected her and her self-esteem.
10. Yeri
Yeri has been targeted again and again by haters ever since she marked her debut as an additional member of the group Red Velvet. The haters claim her to be useless and that she possesses no talent. Although she has been becoming more beautiful and professional with time, she still is backlashed for gaining weight, getting worst outfits, the way she dresses, and many other unjust reasons.
