The hosts of television variety shows are one of the most notable positions in the Korean industry, next to Actors and Idols. They play a crucial role when it comes to entertainment. They also host award shows. Some famous MCs are known for how well they attend to their guests and keep the show well entertained. Some have their TV Shows. They often invite Idols and Actors to their shows, ask questions, play games, and quizzes, travel around places, etc. Here in this article are the list of  top 10 MCs of Korea and their famous TV/ Variety shows.

1. Yoo Jae-Suk

The 50-year-old comedian and television personality have a nickname, "The Nation's MC." Yoo Jae-suk is well known for his variety of shows, "The Running Man," Infinite Challenge, etc. He has won many awards like SBS's Grand Prize for entertainment and many others. He also appeared in all the seasons of Netflix's "The Busted" tv show.

 

2. Kang Ho Dong

Kang Ho Dong is famously known as the first comedian to win the Baeksang Arts Awards Daesang under the Television Show category. He is one of the top traditional wrestlers of Korea, who later turned into a TV personality. He is well-known for being a part of the "Knowing Brothers" or "Man on Mission" TV show.

 

3. Kim Shin Young

Kim Shin Young is a 38-year-old Korean MC, TV host, and DJ. She has acted in movies and dramas. She was a part of the cast in "The Hit" in 2019. Shin Young won the 'Best Variety Performer' in 2006. Shin Young is well-known for a K-Pop genre, trot music.

 

4. Kwanghee

Kwangwee is an idol, tv show host, and actor. He initially debuted in "ZE:A," a boy band formed in 2010. Kwanghee hosts the famous "Weekly Idol," where he calls out Idols and conducts various games with them. He also co-hosts the show with Super Junior's Eunhyuk. He also invites  other idols as Special MCs for his variety show.

 

5. Lee Soo-Geun

Lee Soo-Geun's discography is a long list. The famous MC, comedian, and actor have acted out in films, series, and almost a hundred television shows. He has also made his appearance in Music Videos. Soo-Geun is currently a part of the active cast in the shows Man on Mission and Unpredictable Fortunetellers since 2015 and 2019, respectively.

 

6. Park Myung Soo

Park Myung Soo is a TV host, comedian, DJ, songwriter, and MC who made his debut under MBC in 1993. He is currently an active cast in the show "South Korean Foreigners" since 2018. He was also a part of Infinite Challenge, More Salty Tour, and Happy Together.

 

7. Ha Dong Hoon

Well-known by the name "HaHa," Ha Dong Hoon is a singer and a TV personality. He has acted in various movies and TV Shows. Doong Hoon was the third host of Infinite Challenge. He is currently an active cast of "The Return of Superman," "Hang out with Yoo," and "The Running Man.

 

8. Noh Hong-Chul

Noh Hong Cheol is an entertainer and host. He is known for his appearance in PSY's Gangnam Style video. He co-hosted shows like Infinite Challenge, I Live Alone, and Talents for Sale. He is currently an active host in Funding Together. Noh Hong Cheol is also an entrepreneur.

 

9. Lee Sang-Min

Lee Sang-min is an active cast of the famous Knowing Brothers. He was in debt for a long time due to his business failure. Sang-min was later cast as a TV host and earned a lot of money. It took him almost 14 years to pay off his debt. Sang-min is also a former member of the Hip-Hop group Roo'ra.

 

10. Seo Jang-Hoon

Seo Jang-hoon is also an active cast of the Knowing brothers. Jang-Hoon is a retired professional basketball player. He is currently a part of the involved cast in Love Naggers, My Little Old Boy, and Unpredictable Fortunetellers. His height is known to be 2.07 m. He has won awards like Best Variety Male Performer etc.
