Korean pop songs are listened to by millions of users every day, not just in South Korea but worldwide. While K-pop idols have traveled across the countries, to influence more and more people. Korean pop industry has expanded itself to various countries by welcoming idols from Thailand, the USA, Japan, Australia, etc.

1. Lisa

The 25-year-old K-pop idol was born in the Buriram province of Thailand on March 27, 1997. She has been an active performer since her childhood and has participated in various competitions since her school time. Lisa auditioned for YG Entertainment to become a trainee in 2010. Lisa moved to South Korea in 2011 and debuted in 2016 as a rapper, dancer, and singer for Blackpink after training for around four years.

 

2. BamBam

BamBam is a member of the Korean boy band GOT7.  He was born on May 2, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand. His Thai name is Kunpimook Bhuwakul, but he is better known by his stage name BamBam. He started dancing at the age of 10 after visiting various concerts of Jung Ji-Hoon ( Rain) with his mother. He was part of the dance crew We Zaa Cool with Blackpink's Lisa.  BamBam made his debut in 2014 with the K-pop group Got7 after training for three and a half years. He became a solo artist after the expiration of his contract with JYP Entertainment in 2021.

 

3. Ten

Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul was born in Bangkok, Thailand on February 27, 1996. Popularly known as Ten, he is a member of the Korean boy band NCT. He was born to Chinese-Thai parents and fluently speaks Thai, English, Chinese, and Korean. Ten made his debut in 2016 as a member of the group's sub-unit, NCT U. He signed with SM Entertainment in 2013 after qualifying for the SM Global Audition in Thailand. He also made his debut as a Chinese idol after debuting with SM's Chinese boy band WayV.

 

4. Nichkhun

Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul was born in California and raised in Thailand by Thai-Chinese parents.  Nichkhun is the lead rapper of the boy band 2 PM. He moved to South Korea in 2006 as a trainee under JYP Entertainment after he was given an offer to debut as a K-pop idol at Los Angeles Korean Festival while he was pursuing his studies in LA. He made his debut as a singer and rapper of the boy band 2 PM in October 2008.

 

5. Minnie  

Nicha Yontarak is a member of the Korean girl group G-Idle and is better known by her stage name Minnie. She was born on October 23, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand. Her family has been the key influence to enter the music line. Minnie knows to play Piano since she was five.  She auditioned for Cube Star World Audition in Thailand in 2014 after her mother convinced her. She moved to South Korea in 2015 as a trainee at Cube Entertainment. She debuted in 2018 as a member of G-Idle with their debut song Latata.

 

6. Sorn

Sorn was born on November 18, 1996, in Bangkok, Thailand.  She was born into an affluent family, her brother Teerabat Sajakul is a well-known actor and singer in Thailand.  Sorn won the tvN's K-Pop star in 2011 and then moved to South Korea to train under Cube Entertainment.  Sorn made her debut with the group CLC in March 2015. She departed the group in November 2021 after the termination of her contract.  She also has a YouTube channel ProduSorn which was launched in 2019. Currently, she is working as a solo artist under Wild Group.

 

7. Prince

Prince is a 19-year-old K-pop idol of the boy band Ghost9. He was born on January 10, 2003, in Bangkok, Thailand. His birth name is Pasidh Vataniyapramote, but he is popularly known as Prince. He made his debut as a singer of Ghost9 on September 23, 2020. Prince can fluently speak 4 languages, including Thai, English, Mandarin, and Korean. Not just that, he is also an excellent artist and surprised his fans with some of his stunning artworks.

 

8. Yongsin Wongpanitnont

Yorch Yongsin was born on April 11, 2002, in Phayao, Thailand.  He made his debut in acting at the age of ten and is a popular Thai actor. He is a member of the Korean boy band Trainee A. The group's final name is not decided and tentative dates for the group's debut are set somewhere around November 2022. He is widely admired for his charismatic visuals and acting skills.

 

9. Mint

Mint, popularly known as Mintty, is a K-pop idol from Thailand. She was born on June 23, 1994, in Bangkok, Thailand. She was named Goonshipas Peonpaweevorakul but is popularly known by her stage name, Mint. Mintty started dancing at the age of five and has been performing as an excellent dancer ever since then. Mint was spotted by JYP Entertainment and GNG when she participated in a 2009 cover dance show, Snowy Korea. She was offered by both companies to debut as a K-pop idol. She chose to work with GNG and debuted in 2012 as a dancer and rapper for the girl group Tiny G. After the group's unofficial disbandment in 2014, she started her solo career and signed with JSL Company as a solo artist.

 

10. Natty

Anatchaya Suputhipong, popularly known as Natty, is a K-pop idol born and raised in Thailand. She was born on May 30, 2002, in Bangkok, Thailand. She participated in a famous Korean show Sixteen (which formed the Korean girl group Twice) but she was eliminated in the last round as she was too young at that time to make a debut.  She made her debut in 2020 as a solo artist with her debut single, Nineteen.  She signed a contract with S2 Entertainment in July 2022.
