We all have comfort characters, our personal favourites that we wished came to life or existed in our lives. Everyone has pondered about their ideal type of friends and relationships, and sometimes, they are fulfilled by imaginary characters from the dramas we appreciate. Here are some characters we wish were real, and for what reasons they make everything seem so special

1. Kim Bok-Joo

Kim Bok-Joo is the perfect friend whom you can hang out with, eat to your entire desire, enjoy coming up with new catchphrases like “S-wag,” and you know she is going to have your back no matter what. You know for sure that your friendship is going to be full of laughter, gossip, and a trip to the Karaoke.

 

2. Sunny (Goblin)

The perfect elder sister and a goofball, Sunny became so popular with her role that there was a spin-off with her as the main lead. We see many sides of her, the caring, responsible and mature side, and the romantic and sweet side when she was the Grim Reaper; she is the parent friend.

 

3. Go Dong Man (Fight For My Way)

We see how throughout the drama; Go Dong Man evolves as a person who turns into a focussed and ambitious guy. He shows perseverance which is something we should learn from him. We need someone like him to help us get motivated and to teach us to not give up.

 

4. Han Sung (Hwarang)

Kim Tae-Hyung is the younger brother of the drama. His sense of humour would always cheer you up, and you know he is always there for his friends and brother like figures. He shows the courage that not everybody can, so this inspiration needs to turn from reel to real.

 

5. Lee Hye-Yeong (Love Alarm)

The patient friend who always has your back. Lee Hye-Yeong is the sweetest person out there, and he, is the backbone of the friendship that Hye-Yeong and Sun-oh share. He has that puppy love charm in him; the kindness and sweetness that he portrayed on screen have made everybody realize that we need someone like him.

 

6. Hwang Woo Jin (Sky Castle)

The dark comedy-drama was the talk of the town after its premiere. The drama had a unique personality Hwang Woo Joo played by the famous boy band K-pop idol Kang Chan Hee from SF9. His character is good-natured and has a sense of stability which many of the young adults his age lack, and that is commendable.

 

7. Seo Do Jae (The Beauty Inside)

One of the most heart-melting dramas, The Beauty Inside, served us some boyfriend goals with an unconditional love beyond the expectations of some people. He is shown to have a disorder where he is unable to recognize human faces, yet he works towards achieving love and becoming better.

 

8. On Joon Young (The Third Charm)

One of the most relatable characters we have seen in a long time. Seo Kang Joon, who won everybody’s hearts with Cheese in the Trap, was in the drama The Third Charm as a nerd who had braces, a bad hairstyle and glasses, and he was still able to be one of the best characters out there.

 

9. Kang Bok Soo (My Strange Hero)

Kang bok soo has set an example for the people out there. He could have easily chosen revenge, but instead, he worked on the faults in the system and worked towards improving them. He is a good, goofy student who goes back to school as an ideal student and gets along with everybody.

 

10. Jang Sun Kyul(Clean With Passion For Now)

To work on your issues and the deepest fears and to be able to overcome them for a person you love is something commendable. Jang Sun Kyul is determined to overcome any issue that stands between him and the love of his life, this passion is something we inspire to instil in ourselves.
