If you and your significant other are on the wrong side of a movie series, I have some good news. Stellar action and travel stuff can turn a good movie into something exceptional. Even better, these features can be found in all kinds of movies, from spy thrillers to space drama to historical drama to the crime of crime — meaning you can find something on this list that you both enjoy, even if the heroes and the sci-fi is not your thing. Complete Disclosure: A few Marvel / DC films here, but each film can enjoy its relevance without the comprehensive knowledge of comics, sci-fi, or anything else.

These are just a few of the best films of the last 60 years, but each one has an excellent, unique way of doing something inside the building that makes it fun. Some of these will never fade; others may surprise you. Some of them may be completely outside your wheelhouse. But they are all fun, and in many cases, they give you a fantastic ending that you didn't know you needed (I've tried to avoid big spoilers, but if you'd like to know nothing, go check it out first). 1. Cz12 (2013)

3. The Great Wall (2016)

In the past, a group of European soldiers in the Far East were looking for a mythical black powder that turned the "wind on fire," a source of their future wealth in bringing it back to Europe. They were attacked by an unknown creature, William, one of the soldiers, who managed to kill the beast. Two of the soldiers, William and Tovar, were captured by a local army called the Nameless Order, which housed them inside the Great Wall. The Nameless Order informs them that this creature is called Tao Tei, a species that attacks once every sixty years; this statue killed by William signifies their imminent attack. The survival of the Tao Tei is predicted by military creatures collecting food to return to the Queen as food. Although not explicitly stated to them, William and Tovar learned from Ballard, one West of the Wall, that they would be treated fairly but not allowed to go through the Nameless Order defending the secrets of the Wall. Ballard, like them, was a mercenary looking for black powder, captured in years twenty-five years ago. As the Tao Tei launched its invasion, the Nameless Order developed its strategic defenses, many of which were based on its fortress Great Wall. As they watched, William and Tovar began to drift apart: Tovar, and Ballard, saw the turmoil as an excellent opportunity to avoid stealing the black powder that Nameless Order could carry while William. , seeing a new purpose in life in learning about the trust in Commander Lin Mae, he wants to stay and fight the Nameless Order; it is not a guarantee that any of them can survive no matter which way he goes. These spirits live close to humans but cannot. After industrial development and human expansion, the spirit realm collapsed. Although many souls accepted this change and transformed human society, many disliked innocent people. The film follows the conflict above.

 

6. The Yinyang Master (2021)

Same as the fantastic mobile game "Onmyoji" - a version of the film with the same name that will heal the wonderful eastern world. City Guard captain Yuan Boya was stripped of his post following a state tax evasion. Unwilling to lie, he seeks out thieves and ends up in a mysterious world of demons. Along the way, you encounter an argument between the Yinyang Master Qing Ming and the world of humans and demons. Yuan Boya and Qing Ming went from disgust to disgust, eventually establishing an unbreakable bond between master and "ordinary." The two work together to solve the old mystery and prove the innocence of Qing Ming while exposing the conspiracy to bring the Demon King back from the dead and destroy the human world. 7. The Wandering Earth (2019)

The famous tomb explorer Hu Bayi, Wang Kaixuan, and Hu's fiancée Shirley Yang decided to travel to Manhattan. The team has been dragged back to its original call by a mysterious woman, businessman/sect leader Ying Caihong who wants them to find the ancient Mongolian princess's tomb. Eventually, they learned that what he wanted was to have a famous artifact known as the Equinox Flower, which is said to have the power to raise the dead.
