Anime Review: Haikyuu! To the top (Season 2)

Anime digest

After being called “Flightless Crows,” the Karasuno High School team has entered the nationals and playing against the most formidable team, Inarizaki High School. This is not going to be an easy match.

There are many hurdles on the way to winning this game. Will Karasuno High School be able to face them?

 The Feel-Good Part

The character development of many characters in this season was necessary, and they did an excellent job at that. The viewers needed some kind of backstory to these characters to draw a base for themselves.

They also gave us breakdown moments of some characters and a dive into their head space about how it feels when they play poorly and how they cope with it. It isn’t easy to be a sports person and make decisions within minutes during a match.

The Disappointing Factor

Well, this season is the most disappointing one among all the other seasons. It is slow-paced and dives deep into things that were not necessary.

The animation is not the best. Even though it is the old art style, it could’ve been better. It was mainly incompatible throughout the show and at odds with itself. Which really ruins whatever little bit of fun we were having while watching the anime.

In-Depth Analysis

Haikyuu!! To the Top Part 2 is the second part of the fourth season of the anime Haikyuu!! Which was by far the most disappointing season of the series. It has many flaws of its own, but there are many good factors in the anime. The show required the character development of a few characters. Their characters are fan favorites, and many viewers were waiting for their development, and the director did an excellent job at that.

But in some places, it lacked the hum of Haikyuu!! This season was slow-paced, and while watching, you’re just like, when will the good part come? The season could’ve been better if they didn’t include some unwanted things and focused more on the animation.

 Star Power

The characters are good, and the new characters are also acceptable. As for voice acting, it was good and consistent throughout the show.

Overall Opinion

Haikyuu!! Has seen better days. The show is not like the first three seasons, but it is not a complete waste of time either.
