Movie Reviews: The Good Girl

Rating

★★★

Drama Digest:

“Good Girl” will showcase some of the country’s top female hip hop and R&B performers, including underground rappers, current heroes, and well-known musicians. These artists will be assigned to a team and will work together to perform objectives in order to win a prize.

The Feel-Good Part:

The fact that everyone could be unashamedly themselves without having to tone down their personalities and ideas was the show’s finest aspect.

The Disappointing Factor:

Mnet first attempted to depict the females in a less than desirable way.

In-Depth Analysis:

Let us begin with the amazing instance of Sleeq, a rapper noted for being a member of “radical feminism” in South Korea and for frequently criticizing the entertainment business. No one wanted to work with her at first, but she eventually became the most coveted, renowned as the queen of adaptation. This case has remarkable moments, such as Hyoyeon apologizing to her after she recognizes that her preconceptions prevented her from seeing farther after Sleeq turns out to be a terrific companion. Another memorable scene occurs when Ailee begins supper by telling Sleeq how good it was to see how different she was from what she imagined (she thought she was closed-minded, turns out to be the opposite). Queen Wasabi and Sleeq’s amazing relationship, and their collaboration with a song about “taking off your glasses,” those that don’t allow you to see that you can have a terrific person right next to you.

Star Power:

You’ll see that the cast includes artists of all talents, who sing or rap, move in various genres, and, most importantly, individuals from various backgrounds, popularity levels, and reputations.

Because each participant had a distinct style and the program was not centered on competition, they were all allowed to explore as many genres as they liked without feeling compelled to stick to a specific sort of song that would assure their victory. A rainbow of colors and flavors.

Overall Opinion:

Overall, it was extremely moving. It not only had some beautiful and powerful songs and performances, but it also had a heart. Finally, Good Girl not only helped outstanding artists gain recognition through the program, but it also allowed many members of kpop groups to explore themselves individually in ways they had never before.
