In the Kaiyuan dynasty, the crown prince is very sick and the emperor is searching for a cure. One of the experts mentions that the prince has an unique destiny, for which he has to convert to Buddhism with a Buddha bone relic.

The emperor does not want his son to face hardships and employs Pei Lunde, with a similar destiny as his son to do the needful.

When the monsters and evil spirits find out that Pei Lunde is taking the relic to the Jinshan temple, they wage an attack.

The movie is all about Pei Lunde and whether he makes it to the temple.

In the Kaiyuan dynasty, the crown prince is seriously ill and the emperor is secretly searching for a cure. One of the experts advises him on the unique destiny that the prince has. To get better, the prince must convert to Buddhism with a Buddha bone relic at the Jinshan temple.

The emperor does not want his son to face problems, so he hires Pei Lunde, who shares a similar fate as his son, to do the job. The Buddha bone relic has the potential of making a person immortal. To thwart Pei Lunde’s journey, the evil spirits and demons make plans to steal the relic.

The head priest of the temple foresees these attacks and brings in Xiao Wu of the Demon Subduing Monks to protect Pei Lunde.

Is Pei Lunde successful, or do the demons succeed is the story.
