The Feel-Good Part

The journey of the chef in pursuit of honing his skills and discovering new ingredients is wholesome and heartwarming. Many of the ingredients also have medicinal properties. Jiho wishes to honor a deceased motherly figure, who was his inspiration, by cooking 108 new dishes in 24 hours.

The Disappointing Factor

The documentary at times deviates from its moral goal, which is to show the beautification of a relationship through food, and sometimes has unnecessary distractions to it.

In-Depth Analysis

The documentary is a tribute to Jiho’s beloved deceased maternal figure as he embraces his second mother- Mother Nature. He lays in her lap as he cooks with ingredients directly taken from her treasury. It is a visual guide to Korean cuisine. It also weaves an emotional story of friendship.
