Movie Digest

It all started on 30th December when an unknown virus spreads from Wuhan, China, to other places. There is an immense increase in patients without knowledge about the virus and a cure. The people are horrified because of the dire state, and no one knows what to do.

That’s when the doctors come forward to save the lives of others without caring about their own life. Jinyintan Hospital being in the main framework is a story about a strenuous battle with the unknown virus and their skirmish against the pandemic.

The Feel-Good Part

The movie shows an accurate picture of the pandemic from the doctors’ point of view. The struggles and stories of the people who did not care about themselves and helped others.

The Disappointing Factor

Even in these challenging times, the movie finds a way to glorify the Chinese communist party. Even in these challenging times, they want to have meetings, and the doctors have to scoop out some time for these meetings.

In-Depth Analysis

Chinese Doctors is a tribute to all the frontline workers during the covid-19 pandemic. It shows a fraction of all the difficult things they went through and their challenges. The movie shows the chaos both inside and outside the hospital. But it feels too much assembled, and doesn’t show the utter reality. Sometimes it feels like they are withholding something, and who knows, that might be true because of the censorship fear.

There are also some illogical scenes, like when many infected people storm inside the hospital like zombies. But all in all, it shows the cruel reality:  that the doctors have worn the masks for so long that they have left temporary marks on their faces.

Star Power

The star cast is good. It feels like you are inside the hospital witnessing everything that happens. The acting is realistic.

Overall Opinion

If you are into realistic movies with a slice of life, this movie is for you. The film shows all the sacrifices the health care workers had to make to help others.
