Drama Digest:

Adapted from the novel “Love Mechanics” by Faddist, this show is the second installment in a three-part series En of love. A love story that stems from a nightstand due to mistaken identity. The drama is about the imperfect love of two individuals with shortcomings of their own.

The Feel-Good Part:

The music captures the feeling and mood of the drama. The show highlights the best parts of the novel. It also softens the tone of the storyline. The screenplay makes a delicate aspect consensual rather than dreamy. Cute bits of comedy are naturally blended into the story and executed perfectly. The supporting characters are mature and make us love them. The importance given to emotional health and relationship safety are hidden gems. The show grabs the attention of the audience.

The Disappointing Factor:

There are only four episodes. Many scenes are rushed and left confusing. Lack of execution and flow is evident in certain parts. The timeline is hazy. More content would make it less confusing. Cheating is an old plot and, it’s a big turn-off in the case of this drama. The direct use of the novel’s idea of romanticizing assault is not appreciable.

In-Depth Analysis:

After getting rejected by his long-time crush, Mark, a young engineering student, drowns himself in alcohol in a club until his eyes land on Vee, his senior in college. Mark mistakes Vee as Bar, his crush, and makes out with him. He accepts his feeling but is devastated to know that Vee already has a girlfriend. Mark comes over as a pushover even though he knows he has to work to make his dreams a reality. Sometimes the character of Vee is so weird and frustrating to watch. He knowingly cheats on his girlfriend but still gets to cut it off before getting together with Mark forever. The cheating part is a little questionable and sick but shown maturely. Everyone expected character development for Vee, but it was a complete disappointment. He doesn’t show any remorse for his mistakes. Not even a single ounce. The story shows complex emotions in very few episodes, and it is difficult to comprehend them with the hazy timeline.

Star Power:

The actors are good-looking and have great chemistry on screen. They carry their roles well with natural acting. They bring out emotions with their body language and make up for the plot holes. Their acting makes the show worth watching.

Overall Opinion:

The second installment has won the audience more than the first one. Anyone interested in Thai dramas and their plots will enjoy the show. The show in itself is excellent to have presented itself so well in just four episodes.
