Drama Digest

Nitiman tells the story of two boys, Jom Thanathorn Khuankaew as Jin and Noh Phouluang Thongprasert as Be Bomb, who come from two backgrounds but find common ground in their love for each other. The drama begins with Jin breaking up with his then-girlfriend Aim. The Aim gets rumored to have moved on with Be Bomb from the law department. Jin, from Engineering, decides to confront Be Bomb for “stealing” his girlfriend. Even though Jin dislikes Be Bomb, their paths cross as they have many familiar friends. Through such interactions, they begin to grow close. From the beginning, Be Bomb clarifies that he likes Jin. However, will Jin reciprocate his feelings?

The Feel-Good Part

Young love is always wonderful to watch. It blooms like the prettiest of flowers infecting everything around it with its irresistible fragrance. As the story progresses, one sees how young people meet, fall in love with and make memories with each other. It is the most beautiful thing to watch. The drama doesn’t disappoint when it comes to delivering such romantic scenes. The drama does not overdo any of the romance and has a mellow and warm vibe to it. The supporting characters also find love, experience heartbreak, mend relationships, and more, making the drama a holistic approach to the college life of the young in this age and day.

The Disappointing Factor

Frequently, we have come across tropes in Asian dramas where the male lead pursues the female lead even though the female lead does not have any interest in him. We also know that such tropes are outdated. Today, we have become a people who value boundaries and consent very much. The only disappointing thing about this drama is that Be Bomb pursues and tries to court Jin even after Jin indicates his lack of interest. This lack of interest gets portrayed as Jin’s confusion regarding his preferences for a sexual partner. While views on that could be subjective, it was important that the drama not diffuse the value of respecting the opinions and words of others.

In-Depth Analysis

It is a story of love, friendship, and finding your true self. The drama is engaging, funny, and enjoyable. The actors did their roles justice which helps in empathizing with their characters. Apart from the love story of the main leads taking shape, the supporting characters also have depth, with reports of their own that are just as interesting. Our main leads aren’t the only ones discovering their true selves. The other characters in the drama also experience ups and downs that characterize university life. Therefore, it makes the drama all the more worthwhile.

Star Power

All actors delivered a fantastic performance, making each character’s stories believable. The cast includes Jom Thanathorn Khuankaew,Noh Phouluang Thongprasert, Kong Sarun Boonmongkol, Tontae Tinnakorn Puwasakdiwong, Bhu Bhudis Viseshchitra, and more.

Overall opinion

Nitiman is a heart-warming college romance drama that is worth watching. Those who love rom-coms and school/college dramas would enjoy watching it.
